Let me stop you right there.....refused? As in, the front office and Anthony Davis didn't want Boogie in the locker room? They weren't unwilling to pay a player, they were unwilling to have Boogie on their team.

If Clint takes the QO then it would pretty much solidify this offseason as a disaster.

Capela hasn't seen big money before..it's relevant.
He's already a millionaire. He has seen more money than all of us.
He's not a native from the jungle that is going to be dazzled by some fake jewellery that we can hoodwink . : )

Capela is worth only a vet minimum to me. He thrive because of Harden and CP3. Put him on a team without a great PG and his game will suffer.

Our game suffered as well when Capela did not play.

Why do some of you think that you can throw whoever in there and we will be just as successful?

nothing short term with Clint, we've had him long enough to make a firm commitment. he's already an elite defensive big capable of defending any position. his game has improved every year and at his age its reasonable to assume that'll continue for awhile.

Pay the man, make him happy.

Remember that time Nerlens Noel rejected a 4 year $70 Million deal?

Of course you do. It was just last year.

Not to say the same thing will happen to Capela but you just never know.

Pretty sure nobody in Noel’s circle or Noel thought things could possibly end up worse than they did but it did. **** happens!

The only guarantee in this league is that guaranteed contract when you put ink on paper. If He gets a multi year offer for anything above $60M he should sign and not think twice.

Warriors won two rings with Javale Mcgee.. If Rockets got to get rid of a Capela to get a Kawhi so be it.. we maybe can offer the mle to Montrelz Harrell.

For every Noel there is a Monroe who took his QO and then signed a max.

whats the comparison with JM have to do with capela. ones a bench warmer who barely plays and is lucky to get even 10mins. the other is a full time starter scratching the surface of his best days ahead

The problem is the system doesn’t allow or want him to take jump shots. It doesn’t even want him to develop a back to the basket game. Clint has maxed out his development in Houston. If I’m him, I know my worth and I either get the contract I want or I take the QO and take me take my talent and value somewhere else next summer.

That’s quite dramatic. He outplayed top centers all year long, and drastically outplayed towns & Gobert in the playoffs.

Noel got sabotage by the Mavs. Y’all his playing time decreased substantially once he rejected their long term contract. That was by mistake. The Mavs purposely wanted to decrease his value.

I wonder what kind of team was foolish enough to throw a max contract at Monroe though? o_O

Noel kind of sucked even before they offer that 4 year 70 mil deal.

He got sabotaged but also what sabotaged him is his own knuckleheadness.
If it was just purely the Mavs suppressing him he would do better than what he got when he became an UFA.
