MSG is gonna be nuts tonight. i'll be rooting my face off for the rox and i'm so psyched. i don't think there'll be many games in the regular season that'll be loud as it is tonight at MSG. i hate the knicks but the atmosphere will be electric. hopefully the rox fans and yaofs in attendance can make some noise.

i just hope francis remembers who he is and plays like it. stephon marbury is not more talented than steve francis. mobley will still shut down houston (the player, not his team :) ) mutombo is old, and kurt thomas is going to be abused by the massive cato.

    im not worried

the rockets offence is as ice cold as alaska right now and all Ex-Van Gundy's Knicks are gonna be fired up. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Just watched that interview on the YES channel. It was the "Mike and Mad Dog" radio show. Van Gundy had some interesting things to say indeed.

He said New York, Philly and Boston fans are less tolerant of their teams giving less than 100%. He said that's what struck him as different about Houston fans. He said the New York fans play a big part in keeping the players from giving less than a full effort.

If he thinks that, he should make it mandatory for the whole team to read the GARM on a daily basis!!! :)

I'm glad JVG can take time out to do interviews in NYC. It would be nice if he'd do one occassionally in Houston, you know, where he actually coaches???

Jeff you bring up a good point. To me, it seems like he doesn't really want to be here. It seems he is just doing this as if it his punishment or his only way to prove something - like he was right for quitting and "see how good" I still am.

    Marbury: 3-12 6 pts 5 reb 8 ast 0blk 2st 4 to....and benched in favor of Moochie!

perhaps this could be Steve's breakout game? I'm trying to be extremely optimistic.

we were on all cylinders/all systems go tonight. We annihiliated them and it was so fun to watch at MSG.

Regarding my signature, I'm not going to pass judgement til the season is done. So far I do feel we are better than last year and I think JVG has a lot to do with it.

    Go Mooch!

I don't know why people are trying to find a reason to hate Van Gundy, but the guy is misery. He's one of those people who motivates himself by looking downtrodden and like the weight of the world is on his shoulder. The guy isn't acting any different now then he did on the Knicks. And I wouldn't say he quit on the Knicks, it was obvious that management didn't have a clue what they were doing. Until Isiah showed up the Knicks were a directionless organization. It was like the Clippers. Would you have faulted a coach for quitting on the Clippers?

JVG must have chewed some major arse on that plane ride last night. Something like "you better not play like that for my homecoming."
