Been to Pearl. Didn't like it at all. Seemed to be trying waaay too hard.

Reminded me of a wannabe "Bed" place like in Miami.

My friends were commenting while we were there that we could up with a better place than this in a nanosecond.

    Which reminds me....

Anyone who wants new ideas for a place they're opening email me. I'll get my boys on it.

Not too sure what his exact "style" might be:

Pretty trendy but chill places around Midtown:

    - Barfly/Drink Bar
    - Zimms (kinda swanky and pretty pricy)
    - Social (depends on the night)
    - R&R
    - Red Star (kinda like Red Door, but with more levels so keeps it less crowded)

I'm a beer-bar kinda person, so these are some picks around that area as well:

    - Tavern on West Gray
    - Sherlocks on West Gray
    - Front Porch Pub
    - Kinnealy's
    - Stags Head

    Hope this helps!

Social is only good now on Sunday night.
    R&R is closed
Red Star is great if you like drugs.
    Tavern is a good place
    Sherlocks is a good place

Can't comment on Front Porch, Kinnealy's, never been.

Not a fan of Stags head-a little too low key.

    Good suggestions, though.

Tavern has it's good and bad nights. But maybe I just go there too much. My buddy is the newest bouncer.

Imma pretty stylish guy myself so I like Red Star and Red Door. I always have fun at Bar Houston, but then again I tend to like younger women. I'm only 24 so it's still all good.

Anyone been to Pangea (sp?), it is what R&R was now? Or so I've heard.
Also heard a few good things about The Gatsby but never been.

Oh and nothin beats Treasures. Just had to add that.

Actually they just reopened about 3 weeks ago. They've redone the place nicely. I'm not sure if the crowds have returned or what the crowd is like, but the interior seemed to be nice.

Red Door and Liquor Lounge are where I go usually. I can walk to both places from my place so it's just too easy...
