Wow, you assholes really are bitter about this somehow.

Um, can anyone name any other player we COULD have given a max contract to besides the guy that helped lead us to the WCF and a game away from beating the All-Star team of the Warriors?

If anyone deserves this contract it's CP.

    Now STFU.

amazing how much b****ing and complaining there is about cp3. get a hof pg who is irreplaceable for everything he brings to the table and not a better fit next to harden. Yet, you gotta find a reason to complain somehow. cp3 deserves every bit of money thats come his way

Paul deserves this contract more than Harden if we're being completely honest.

This is a great perspective on Chris Paul. He could have left and joined LeBron in LA with just about the same contract.

He did not. He is H-Town.

LA still has $30-35 million in cap space? Doubt it. CP3 stayed for the money, if that's loyalty than sure. He probably threatened to leave too. Good luck Rockets fans, winning with 2 guys who talk **** and couldn't care less about being a competitive team.

Man. How about that? We have two guys that couldn’t care less about being competitive and still managed to go 7 games with Warriors. Imagine if they cared!?!

Actually, yeah, if they renounced the cap holds of every one of their free agents, stretched Deng's contract and just had that, Lebron and the young guys on their books, they could have easily made room for CP3.

But he didn't bail. Give him some credit.

65 wins. 1st in the West. 2 games and pulled hammy from the Finals. League MVP.

    These guys don't compete? *Smdh*

Hard for you guys to get that if you take max money and 2 guys taking up so much space, that any statement saying you are all about winning goes out the door. Tell me, how as Ariza supposed to say with CP3 signing that big ass contract? Luxury tax territory means severely limiting Morey to do his job, so you guys can worship Harden and CP3 all you want, just accept reality that it's Money first, winning second.

We saw how that worked out last year. Maybe he will be healthy, maybe not, but the odds are against him staying healthy for a whole playoff stretch. Meanwhile, who will be our forwards? All our money is in our guards.

If you've been a Rockets fan longer than 3 months, you should understand that Morey always has a plan. If you think he's going to hamstring this team with a mediocre roster, then I just don't know what to tell you. How is it that so many of you have so little faith in a man who constructed a 65 win team with basically NOTHING?? It's shocking, and really discouraging honestly.

I just think its a ridiculous amount of money for a player who stayed healthy more than a month once all last season. If he can't stay healthy during a playoff stretch, then it will be just like last year. It's a lot of money for a long shot.

Because it didn't work last year, the odds of him staying healthy are against him, and Ryan is eating payroll. We won't win without a better team than last year with an injured Paul. We have no great forwards right now.

I bolded the most important thing you said. It's July freaking 2nd. Let the man do some work before already throwing in the towel on the season. It's not that difficult to have a LITTLE patience.

Lets be real, it's not CP3's fat contract or Harden's upcoming extension that is ruining our off-season. It's solely on Ryan Anderson being worth so little value he's untradeable even packaged with picks. Or I guess you could blame it on Morey giving Ryno that much money.

If Ryan Anderson gets 20million or the likes of Derek favors and Randle also get close to 20 million then a top 10 to 12 player like CP3 deserves that.

You ideally want your second best player making less but Paul most of the time would be the best on many other teams it’s just harden is better
