I agree. a 3 years 24M is better than a 1 year 15M for a old player. I dont understand Moreys plan we will see
Ariza is gone and it sucks. But I'm not concerned because the Rockets have Daryl Morey as their GM. They have contingencies upon contingencies and will find another good 3-D wing. My guess is still Ryno + picks for Bazemore but we will see, could be something bigger. Have a little more flexibility money wise with Ariza off the books.
Vincent Edwards really has a lot of Expectations for Morey. Edwards was the defense Captain for Purdue. Switching Defense is his specialty. Really hope he wins the Starter Small Forward Job. Morey was excited to get him. Vincent does play a lot like a Mature Ariza. Edwards is more polished than Ariza, he can dribble, attack the basket, hit corner 3 pointers.
We went from having 1 player on the roster with championship experience to zero. This is not something that can be replaced.
Ariza knew he was expendable. There was a good chance he was going to be traded . He did the right thing. Good call. No point in leaving 5 million on the table for, at best, 2nd place again.
This really sucks. If we lose Luc we are in serious defensive trouble. Ariza isn’t as replaceable as many seem to think. Big loss. Potential to be devastating
Because you are not in the championship mentality. You think the warriors gawk at a loss like this? No theyll find something better. We are now in championship mentality mode! Hold on to your testes bois!!!
He can be replaced. We’ve come to know Trevor to be very important over the last 4 years because of his defense, but most importantly his locker room presence. Luc (if healthy) gives you that defense and CP gives you the locker room stuff
It could. I think the Rockets might seriously considering stretching Anderson if they can't find a trade, which would save around $12M this year and next, and likely keep them from being repeater tax payers.
Right now Anderson and a 1st for Bazemore looks very interesting. Bazemore has 2 years left 37.3 million left on his deal. Per 36, Bazemore averaged 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.6 assist, 2.0 steals, 0.9 blocks, 2.2 made 3's per game on .394% last season for the Hawks.
