1) that's Reddit, not twitter 2) if cyberx was worried about anything being exposed, he shouldn't post it on the internet period. You don't think lurkers read this board for 'insider' stuff?
When LeBron gets swept in the playoffs again, will his MTV Movie Award for Space Jam 2 make up for it? It's no Oscar but still...
Jordan would never had teamed up or Magic! Harden is Right! I'm trying to beat these guys! We just need one more glue guy or better use of Ryan Anderson's 20 Million!
So, Lebron saves Magic ass, before even arriving. lulz This means Spurs legitimately thought they could coax a Godfather offer out of Magic before Lebron even turns free agent.
[edit] n/m, saw your explanation. I agree, somewhat. I could see that message being like the game of Telephone. It reads like Morey and Paul wanted it, but Harden nixed it. When they all three probably weighed the pros/cons, and Harden could have even valued keeping the band together (because he loves the guys and wants to watch out for them), and possibly even worried about Paul getting full max. @cyberx ... thx for the tidbit. We are used to rumors of Harden being spoiled and worried only about himself, but they never end up being true. But, I also believe all superstars think of legacy, and your rumor could be 100% correct. As you say, Kobe would have done the same thing.
Ok, so worse case scenerio... if Paul vamps and goes to la, like a punk, does that open us up to be able to take on alot more salary? Or are we capped out still because of capela? Also, if we don't sign capela, and cp bolts, are we then able to take on a max player? Sorry if this has been talked about before.
I think this is called being passive aggressive, to look good on the outside but erupting on the inside.
Still close to cap. We owe $75 M next year sans cap holds. With cap holds its even less. We can't drop Paul to go get a FA. Even if we renounce all FAs we still would only have like $25 M in cap space. My math might be off though.
Kinda'. Watching him interact with Harden, D'antoni, and Morey would have been 'interesting', in the Chinese sense of the word. OTOH, he's the best player of our generation. Surely people would have found some way to get along. And if he were here, I wouldn't have that nagging worry that Chris Paul might jump ship...
That sucks but thank you. If like to be able to re sign cp3 and capela, not ariza, and get arron gordon. Just to get the band back is gunna be hard enough though. LeBron is trying to talk Paul into leaving as we speak.
I mean, for CP3 I think it looks really shady to go. Who knows, anything is possible, but I think CP3 returns. The rockets were close, and the lakers, even with talent, will have work to do.
Why DNP him? Why not just suspend him for the entire season so he doesn't even get paid for conduct detrimental to the team. I mean he faked an injury and sat out all of last year. Make him pay for it.
I don't see the Spurs as being under any obligation to do anything here. Kawhi is a top 6 player in the league at a premium position. There will be offers, and there should be healthy skepticism about whether Ingram has big upside potential (most stars reveal themselves as such in their first few years...Ingram has not done that yet). If Lebron wants to destroy San Antonio's leverage, then SA can just take a step back and reevaluate the market. This situation is really just like Paul George last year...the player can say what he wants, but the franchise will act in their best interests.
