I'm not going to beat around the bush - I hate the Jazz with a passion. This game may mean more to them than to us as far as playoff implications - but I'd like to see us tear Utah a new one...so I will make a prediction for tonight's game - I hope my hatred does not affect my objectivity: Rockets: 105 Jazz: 89 ooooops...(for the sake of getting somewhat closer to objectivity - subtract 7 points from Rockets score, add 7 points to Jazz score) ------------------ "It's finger ling ling good!" - Homer Simpson's opinion of Kentucky Fried Panda
I hate them, too, with a passion! In reality, however, I'd say if the game is a close one the Jazzholes will pull this one just because of their freaking dirty experience. But my favorite result is: Rockets 101 Jazzholes 92 Gooooooooo Rocks!!!!!!!! ------------------ They couldn't stop him in the early 90s; now they can't stop him in the 21st century -- Bill Worell on Phoenix defense on Hakeem
I also hate the Jazz with a passion. I would love to see it, but I don't see the Rockets winning this one. Jazzholes 105 Rockets 95 ------------------
Rockets haven't won in Utah in 5 years. Rockets-95 Jazz- 93 Hakeem hits the game winner with 2 seconds on the clock. The Rockets played closely with Utah the first two games WITHOUT HAKEEM. With him back, they pounded them. He will lead them to victory here as well. I actually think the Rockets are going to finish the season 5-0, and become the best lottery team ever! ------------------ Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is the greatest player in the history of basketball. If you disagree, you are not a Rocket fan. [This message has been edited by ZRB (edited April 09, 2001).]
I actually think the Rockets are going to finish the season 5-0, and become the worst playoff team in the West this season! OK! Keep the dream wet! ------------------ They couldn't stop him in the early 90s; now they can't stop him in the 21st century -- Bill Worell on Phoenix defense on Hakeem
I think we eek this one out. Rockets 98 Jazzholes 95 ------------------ "I may be mistaken, but I'm never wrong" -Barkley
Rockets by 4. Both teams want this game...but we want it more. Not so much from a PLAYOFF standpoint, but from a personal standpoint. I expect this game to get personal. Shandon should have a big game, as should Dream. ------------------ Jazzkiller
Rocks 89 Jazzholes 79 Stevie 22 pts, 9 rebs, 8 asts KT 16 pts, 14 rebs ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams and Lisa Malosky fan club. atheistalliance.org [This message has been edited by DEANBCURTIS (edited April 09, 2001).]
This is a revenge game for the Jazz after they got embarassed in Houston. The Rockets will once again play uninspiring basketball and lose to the Jazz by 16. Sorry guys, I'd love to see us beat the Jazz but the Rockets haven't shown anything in the last 2 weeks. The Rockets have only beaten bad teams and even lost to bad teams. Their only noteworthy win was against the Jazz who were on a back to back if I remember. I hope I'm wrong about the prediction. ------------------ Thoughts? Rockets: 110 Jazz: 84 Steve: 22 Pts 8 asst 6 rbs Hakeem: 25 Pts 10 Rbs cuttino:21 pts 3 asst 4 rbs KT: 14 pts 9 rbs Rocket River ------------------
Hmmm, if this were to happen, would fans get 2 chalupas? ------------------ "Any event, once it has occurred, can be made to appear inevitable by a competent historian." Lee Simonson
People talk about the Rockets playing uninspired ball lately, but have you seen the Jazz? Rockets by 15. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! The Rockets will be NBA champions. Believe.
Very good point. They've lost 6 of their last 10 games just like the Rockets, BUT the Jazz are coming off of a 13 point win against the Mavs. The same Mavs team that embarrassed us last week. ------------------ Thoughts?
Rockets - 140 Jazz - - - 139 Quad OT game, Dream hits the game winning dream-shake... Steve erupts for 44 points and Stockton gets ejected in the 2nd OT... the perfect game... okay maybe wishful thinking. ------------------ Chris Webber at the July 28, 2001 3:00 PM news conference when he announces where he will go: "It seemed tough, but with guidance from Steve Francis, I learned my true destiny. That destiny is to play for the Houston Rockets, to bring them back to championship glory. One big man is all they need, and I believe I can fill that void. Thanks to the loyal fans in Sacramento, but Houston, Texas is where I belong."
I predict Stockton and Malone will play a petty, dirty game. Malone will knee a couple of people in the chest on purpose as he goes to the hole, and Stockton will flop like the p***y he is. Jazz 92 Rockets 87 In my humble opinion, the basketball Gods will let Stockton and Malone play until they are both 50, so everyone can marvel how long those two Jazzholes stayed together without ever winning a championship. ------------------ Bob Rainey is my hero!
Malone will probably hurt someone with his elbow. But they'll lose in the playoffs again. ------------------ Whatever you want to do, you have to do something else first.
Jim 1965 wrtote: "I predict Stockton and Malone will play a petty, dirty game. Malone will knee a couple of people in the chest on purpose as he goes to the hole, and Stockton will flop like the p***y he is." hehehe...so in other words, they will stick to their usual game plan ------------------ "It's finger ling ling good!" - Homer Simpson's opinion of Kentucky Fried Panda
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! UTAH ANNOUNCERS! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! At least they gave Hakeem some credit... That's good, but still, I have to say: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------ Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is the greatest player in the history of basketball.
