I honestly believe the Lakers with that construction would still be less then the Warriors or the Rockets. I absolutely believe that collusion occurs between the players but in this case there are a lot of moving pieces they would have to fall into place.
I’ve been saying much the same. I even think Kyrie Irving was told by LeBron the plan last summer. That and the Cavs were shopping Kyrie to the Clippers last summer caused Kyrie to force the issue and demand a trade. Houston has climbed to 7th in the league in earnings according to Forbes rankings of NBA teams..... $296 million. The appeal to LeBron/Kawhi/PG is that the Lakers were 2nd and earn more than a billion more.........$371 million. https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbes...th-annual-nba-team-valuations/2/#b779d8e4ef5d More than just Nike are calling them West/ L.A. LeBron bought a home in Brentwood in 2015 which was estimated as $21 million........over 9,000 sq ft. Now, LeBron has bought another home in Brentwood this past December at an estimated $23 million..over 15,000 sq ft. http://www.tmz.com/2018/05/26/lebron-james-renovation-brentwood-home/ LeBron has initiated new construction on the most recently purchased home with $70 thousand in labor and work permits. This does not included in cost of material. The reports say that LeBron is having a basketball court being built. Probably something similar to that of Olajuwon. Also work on his home theater and wine cellar. This going with his 8 bedrooms, 9 1/2 baths, elevator, office, smoking breezeway-cigar room. Many would think LeBron would sell the other home soon after moving into the modified new home. All of these super teams border on tampering and contain shades of fishy-ness. Kawhi didn’t want to risk getting hurt. Did not want to take a chance of getting really hurt......like a Paul George crashing into the basket expansion base. We will see tomorrow how LeBron plays his opt-in or out. Lakers 90% chance to Houston’s 10%. I see many moving parts with both scenarios.
Is there anyway the Rockets can get one of LAs youngsters in all of this? If we just forget about the Lerbon and others and go that route?
Why the F would Nike even care? They sell shoes throughout the whole world, not just LA. It doesn't matter where Lebron plays he has been playing in Cleveland for 10+ years he is still selling a ton of shoes. Hell, Jordan and Kobe already retired they are still shoe best sellers. I can totally see Kawhi engineering an escape plan from Spurs to LA because his uncle doesn't like Spurs and Kawhi has illusions of grandeur, but Lebron is too god to stoop to conspiracy moves.
