This is turning into the Melo saga all over again. So I purchased a steel shipping container full of potatoes. My body is ready. Let's do this!
I dont know about you, but howard played really well in the postseason. We did not lose because of howard in the playoffs. Howards last year was the problem year. If in his rockets career postseason stats of 18 points 14 rebounds with 2.3 blocks per game and a 56% fg% in 35 minutes per game is not stud then I dont know. Thats factoring in his poor final year playoffs too bringing it all down What more did he need to do? We praise capela for those numbers Dwight Howard was damn good. Somehow the teams bad year where he was a problem overshadows how good he was prior.
Actually it doesn't make sense. Because technically they wouldnt have to complete the deal after he opted in since it's not simultaneous with him opting in. In other words he's depending on the Cavs and Rockets to follow through and complete the deal. And either side could abandon it and he'd be stuck in Cleveland. That's not normally how these type deals go down.....for other players. It's usually opt in and simultaneous trade finished. And that may be the way this plays out. But I'm making the point that this could be a special case.....since it's Lebron.......where he opts in, and it is leaked to the public that he us being traded to Houston and then the trade is delayed until post moratorium so that both teams can benefit more from the deal. Mute cash available. Maybe an extra second rounder. And/or a larger trade exception, etc. I think this may be possible here with Lebron basically because it is Lebron. And to renege on a deal with him that has been publicized isn't meant the same as reneging on a verbal agreement with a minimum salary free agent or some other role player that is not a superstar.
D12 will go back to the Lakers for the vet minimum if Lebron+Kawhi+PG13 end up there ... rebounding, blocking shots and dunking the basketball. That's all he will have to do ... no more post-up ISO.
D12 isnt going anywhere for the vets minimum. The guys got something like 9 kids with 8 different women. Im guessing that is a pretty steep annual expense.
Tuesday: Thursday: A year to the day after the Rockets pulled off a whirlwind of deals that when the smoke cleared brought Chris Paul to Houston, hope — if there was any — faded that a similar coup was imminent with Paul’s buddy, LeBron James. Quite the shift from Mr. Feigen. Rockets still have hope! Rockets still have hope! Hope, if there was any to begin with, faded. Spoiler
Meh, you don't have to be intelligent to play with Lebron. Just do what he says, he's the coach anyway.
Vet minimum was a joke. But he'll take a paycut if he has to, I suppose. Unless, he doesn't care about winning (anymore).
He might have been to take a lot lower money then what he is used to to it’s his cancerous attitude and past history
Today is the day we'll know for sure, Clutchfans. Best case scenario, at the end of the day, we have LeBron and Ryno is gone.. Most likely scenario, LeBron opts out and we run back more or less the same squad next season.
Unless LeBron or PG say that they will only sign if we have Kawhi there already, the Lakers have all the leverage of this world. Spurs can't do ****. Today is gonna be good. Hoping we keep Brandon Ingram in all of this mess.
The Feigen article is a killer @J.R. “Hope, if there ever was any” Basically the rockets don’t know if they were ever even being considered.
