If he gets too specific, then he can't claim he was right after it's all decided. Better to be vague so you can keep your self-bestowed uber-insider status. That being said... Wheel C.
If the Lakers can't get Kawhi, I think it'll be DeRozan. LA native who was rumored to be interested in them in the past, and talks of him being readily available have conveniently surfaced in the last week or so. Also, I think Masai would be more than willing to take on Deng's deal in an Ingram-centric package. The two are fairly close and toured Africa together a couple years ago. I could see Kawhi to Philly for something around Saric and the MIA pick.
I agree, but at the same time, alot of them reports are 1. Contingent with Lakers getting at least KL, and 2. Are alot of people just repeating what was already reported, validating eachother.
??? Where did this come from? There's no chance of the Raptors moving DeRozan. The Raptors seem to be an organization that is pretty okay with just being competitive and would rather be competitive annually and hope to get lucky instead of tanking to build up to a title Sixers style. I don't see any way DeRozan ends up on the Lakers, no way, no how.
If LeBron comes to the West and makes a currently non-competitive team a playoff contender, we need to end the East/West playoffs split. It's ridiculous. It's been like two decades of this **** with no end in sight.
It's been established already that the Lakers are picking up every player in the NBA this off-season and every other team is going to have to fight over D league scraps to fill their rosters.
Alright, I’ll bite. What smoke (not counting marketing and school tours)? As others have said, if an opt in and trade is happening by tomorrow, multiple teams would be involved and you would think there would be SOME leaks by now. I understand the urgency of the kawhi talks is because of the fear of a rockets trade, but I’m not seeing much smoke beyond that.
