I really wonder what the market for a player like Kanter will be as today, i'm not even sure he would get more than a full MLE, he's not a starter in today's game imo. A guy like Favors might still get more cause he can at least play the 5 without being a weak point for his team, but all those old school pfs are not going to get paid anymore...same for Monroe.
Basically he wants to opt out and get a new contract from the Knicks. They aren't going to give him one though. It's in their best interest for him to opt in though so they don't do something stupid with cap space lol.
Honestly, having LeBron would be a luxury to this team. If the Rockets instead got a player that could be whatryan Anderson and Nene/Black were supposed to be, we’d have an improved team. A big that could shoot and a big that could roll and finish. In any case, everyone has to have the ability to hold their own on switches. Still though, it’d be nice to have another star to make things even easier.
I'm sure he's available if someone wants to give them a godfather offer. They aren't going anywhere with that roster. That said we aren't a team that can give them anything to make them better.

The longer this can drag on, the better the chances for LeBron in Houston or Cleveland. Lakers still have to get their assets together. Presumably first rounders from other teams like Phoenix. Boston just has to keep sprinkling assets one by one to top the Lakers offer. If Boston can just keep the palette wet, SA might just feel they’re close enough to hold off on a trade today. Of course, Ainge will probably just pull the plug once the antsiness is removed from the Lakers equation.
Why would the Laker team matter one way or the other? They are attempting to just get into the playoffs, they have no chance of being a legitimate contender.

Considering Friday is getting here quickly, they better move from the conceptual lane to the fast lane.
