Curious how this will impact Holic's Lebron to Rockets percentages. Probably up to 96%

He has turned out right actually. Said we were still after him after everyone said otherwise. Codman came this AM and told us to relax and then we saw the Amick bomb.. the % he puts on us is way too high of course LOL

It looks unlikely (like it always was) but it won't because we aren't trying and from all indications, the door hasn't been totally shut. At least, for now it has not.

Daryl Morey targeting the top players in the NBA is not exactly groundbreaking. I haven't been on Clutchfans much these past couple weeks or so. Are people really saying otherwise? lmao

If he chooses the Lakers, I hope LeBron enjoys winning 50-55 games and being knocked out of the playoffs by the conference finals every year, because that’s what his basketball future looks like. He’s naive if he thinks a team of him, PG13, Kuzma, Ball, Ingram and ring chasers (which could only be acquired in year 2, when LeBron turns 35) is beating the Warriors. And if the Lakers were going to be able to trade for a third star this summer, it would’ve likely happened before or during the draft.

His real goals are money and lifestyle based. Championship is clear far and away 3rd, he'll be happy just being competitive. You can't blame him, he has 3 Rings already and that's the best way to make money. He'll be a billionaire

Even with Paul George and co.

Rockets as is and the Warriors will finish them by Round 2(first seed gets to avoid one of those teams).

My assumption is that he is going over there hoping that Kawhi is going to come his second year.

Spurs should get the best package possible from the Clippers. They can prevent that super team from forming.

Itd be nice to have a 3rd star but we dont necessarily need one. We probably wouldve won the chip if cp3 didnt injure his hammy.

Eric Gordon can be a 3rd star on some nights.

    Think of it this way...

Lebron to the Rockets puts all the pressure on Lebron/Harden/Paul. They're immediately the favorites to win the title and if they don't, the media will skewer them. It's entirely a ring chasing move if Lebron comes here.

Lebron to the Lakers, though? Zero expectations. If he loses, it's expected. No pressure at all. The Lakers have been trash for so long that even a single playoff series win will look good for him.

That's one of the benefits Lebron will have when he joins LA. Nobody will expect him to win, so no chance losing effects his overall legacy.

Kawhi can't sign outright next summer if they sign PG and Lebron this summer. They need to get him via trade, which is looking extremely unlikely to impossible.

What it should tell is one of two scenarios are about to unfold:
    1. Morey has a good backup plan that no one is talking about to net the rockets a third star player, and no, capela is NOT a star.
    2. The more likely of the two, Morey and company dont know lebron's choice yet and have all of their eggs in that basket. When he chooses LA, they will be left with no choice but to run it back with the same team minus one or two guys like ariza or green.

He would get crucified by local media and fans if he doesnt make the finals in LA and all the Kobe vs LeBron talk would come back up in a big way. There is more pressure on how his legacy will be viewed if he goes to LA and doesnt succeed.

Lebron has already once joined the Monstars. What's he going to do in Space Jam 2? He's the exact opposite of that movie.

I think, long term, yes, this is correct.

I don't think his first year will be viewed that way, especially if he can't get Paul George or Kawhi to join him. His first year will be dedicated to "bringing the Lakers back to prominence" and "leading a young core to the playoffs". Nobody will expect him to beat the Warriors, or even Houston probably, so he'll get a pass for that.

If he goes 2-3 years without a ring or even a deep playoffs run, then yes, I think that'll hurt his legacy. But it sounds like that's what he's about to do, so more power to him.

Don't forget that the Lakers fanboy media is desperate for the team to be relevant again. He'll get a pass his first year for that alone.
