Dwight has proven to be disliked by teammates...and is a cancer...Kudos to the Hornets seeing this sooner than later. Dwight's effectiveness in today's NBA is moot. Sad that once an HOF talent and one of the best in the game fell off badly since he threw his Orlando team under then bus. Perhaps there is this truly an Orlando Magic curse...
Any former Rocket? Robert Covington as starting SF. More realistic? Montrezl Harrell as a backup center.
Dragic, Lowry, Covington, or Beverley. Lin, while an unpopular choice, would also be great on our offense.
Give me a 23 year old Elvin Hayes on this team. Athletic beast that rebounds like crazy and scores close to the basket. The team just jacks up shots and watches Elvin go to work!
Last season: Shaun Livingston helps us and hurts GSW. This season: Covington is better than Ariza and would fit right in on the court. Long shots: Cameron Oliver is a player that got hurt at the wrong time last season because he just fits with what we are doing. Hope he gets a Summer League call and sticks this year. From the past: Ralph Sampson before injury is the perfect fit for this or any team in today’s NBA.
Man, I would love to have trez back on the Rockets. Trez and PJ in the middle could be a great combo. Bev would obviously be great but he wanted a bigger role and wouldn't want to back up Paul. Livingston is getting old. Not Dekker. Dragic and Lowry are unrealistic but would be incredible 6th men. Carroll and Bazemore are realistic and would help next season. Lou can't defend or play off the ball. Beasley would be cool off the bench in a limited role... maybe he could be what they hoped iso Joe was going to be. Courtney Lee would be great. Patterson could be good but he's pretty old and I'm not sure if he can defend. Temple would be good. No to Dwight. I think that's everyone who is still in the league and somewhat relevant.
None of those players. Crazy that all of them have had major injuries and rehabs at some point in time.
Strange that so many of you are choosing Trez. Most hated him while he was with the team, especially the fact that he didn't have much of a jumper. Of active players and keeping realistic with the possibility of 1.) rostering the player and 2.) fit into our system.... I would most definitely chose Robert Covington. Letting him go for nothing to the Sixers was one of the stupid decisions Morey has made as GM. Not common for him but still it was dumb.
