A 5 seed with LeBron and a bunch of glorified bench players?? Do you even Western Conference, bruh?? Houston, GS, NO, OKC, POR, MIN, and UTA would all be better.
Can we please change our focus to bringing Jimmy Butler home? Forget LeBron and forget PG.. Lets win the right way.
You know our focus does not necessarily mirror that of Morey or the Rockets. If the rockets have enough data to suggest LBJ isn't coming I fully believe they have already moved on. Again, because it bears repeating, Morey does great work in February too. I wouldn't be shocked if Houston stood pat, surveyed the land, then finds a disgruntled star come February.
Like REALLY? I can't even begin to understand this logic. Uhm...except for the CP3 injury in Game 5, we probably knock off one of the greatest NBA teams of all time, and your response is: "But Jiminy Crickets! I sure wish we hadn't given up a few late first round draft picks to become a 70 win perennial Finals contender for the next 4 - 5 years!" Seriously....dude....
Amick was on 790 today if someone wants to post that. Summary on Houston's chances: Houston is the best fit. Not sure basketball is Lebron's only considerations. Also talks about DH. I quit listening.
That's actually the most plausible scenario, and probably the most likely way we get someone like Jimmy Butler here. There's little incentive for most teams with stars under contract for one more year to trade them now unless they're getting an offer they can't refuse.
Plus, think about it this way, is RyNo more tradeable with $40 M left on his deal, or $30M? Ryno gets more tradeable everyday that passes IMO.
I don't understand how the concept of bringing in Butler as opposed to LBJ or PG is winning the "right" way. Especially Butler vs PG as they are similar caliber players.
Yeah, but after all the trades that Tina Fey Mozgov has gotten I gotta believe anyone is tradable. Even D12.
Lol neither do I.. as if jimmy butler is a bum. Oh and if we are able to win the “wrong way” where do I sign up
Jimmy is definitely as good as PG but I've always felt he was judged as a lower tier all star like Lowry for example. The right way is not cheesing and just getting the very top players in the world on your team. Chris Paul already trending down. Jimmy would be traded twice in 2 seasons. Harden and Capela are home grown into the players they are seen as today. Our role players are mostly made up of guys that no one else wanted.
But how does that make it the right or wrong way!? The right way to win is to get great players. Period.
