Melania Trump Visits Children Detention Center on the Border

It's like they're in high school.

 

Just to be clear - despite what's being written in headlines, she did NOT wear that jacket to visit immigrants. She did not wear it anywhere near any of the detainment centers. She wore it while boarding the plane in DC. When the plane landed, she was wearing a yellow jacket, which is what she wore to visit the immigrants.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: People who constantly complain about Melania Trump are as stupid as the people who constantly complained about Michelle Obama during the previous administration.

 

Got to give it to trump. Never waste an oppurtunity to hate on the media, even if that meant pulling the First Lady into the mud.

 

But why give anyone the ammo? You mentioned Mrs. Obama. Would she have worn something like to any part of her trip that would've been visible to the media and/or public? Would any first lady? It's asking for trouble. Why invite it constantly?

 

I remember the first time you posted this and thought to myself what a great person so far above the fray.

 

Lol, so she liked the green jacket so much that she brought the yellow one to change into? Fully knowing that the green one was inappropriate thus the need for the yellow one. And all of this over a jacket on the first day of summer for a trip to Southern Texas.

This whole thing just makes absolutely TOO much sense!

 

I buy that she's oblivious enough to her situation/the world that her choice of attire wouldn't cross her mind as she departed on this trip to calm nerves/ease tension over what is easily the most heated and controversial issue to hit the American zeitgeist in quite some time.

What I don't buy is your attempt to throw a tarp over the whole thing and make false comparisons.

It's not a scandal, but it is hilariously stupid and tone deaf. Peel back those surgically altered eyelids, Melania. You're married to the President now. People kinda care about what you say/do.

 

I wonder why Trump needed to concoct a silly lie after Melenia's press office provided a formal explanation... which one is telling the truth -- why about something so dumb?

 

he lies about everything. at this point his own admin dont know the truth.

 

So much stupidity with this situation...wearing a jacket when it is summer and humid, one source says one thing and of course the Trump has to say another, etc.

I guess this family has never heard of when they hit you low, you hit high...no, they decide that they are going to hit even lower.

So what is the message (hidden or otherwise) of the jacket?

Could it be a dig at his husband for separating families (which she does not condone, hence her visit, which trump tried to prevent.. thus the jacket) LOL! I'm reaching.

 

At this point it is all a game. I am tired of it on all sides.

It started with the show 911, Cops, and then Real World. All the way to the dumb ass Karadasian's. Which are all absolutely filthy rich for doing nothing. To the point where we have a lying, trolling man baby in the White House. That does not have a thimble full of couth or manners.

I would also like to hate on the fat slobs that inhabit this country at a higher percentage each year. That don't want to get off the couch, nor put down the sludge they push into their mouths.

Do not forget the percentage of the population that are in prison and jail. Along with all of the people that make money off of the entire cycle.

The U.S. is falling behind in STEM more and more each year. You have an entire political party that does not believe in humans effecting climate change.

The country is sooooooo on the right track. What is the message of the jacket? As I said it is a game, a diversion.

 

More important question is why the hell she is wearing a jacket in the middle of Summer going to south Texas?

 

Because there is no part of them that exudes even the slightest bit of intelligence.

 

I heard Melania gave the children copies of Dr Seus classics “Are you my mother” and “Oh, the places you’ll go.”

 

I never said it was a smart move - I rolled my eyes myself when I saw it. My complaint is with the constant misleading headlines with regards to the situation.

As for Mrs. Obama - she wasn't immune to fashion faux pas either - remember when she wore $550 tennis shoes to feed the poor? I shook my head at that too, but I didn't think it was enough of an issue to make a huge stink about - that too was way way overblown.

My point was that the far left and far right are constantly looking at things to blow out of proportion, and so far neither of these First Ladies deserved the majority of the criticisms they received.

 

probably the same reason my wife takes a jacket on airplanes - because sometimes they can be cold.

 

I don't disagree with you on the way both sides treat these things. But I also don't think this one particular thing is the same as wearing expensive shoes at an inappropriate time. I'm not livid or jumping up and down screaming. I just roll my eyes at what is an incredibly stupid thing to do.

Then it became either an after the fact opportunity for trump to attack the press, or something melanie and her husband did to send a message. Either way... it upped the scorn quotient.
