Altuve, in the 2 games he played, went 6-8 with 2 doubles and 2 HRs. White, the guy they were trying to get ABs for while resting Altuve, went 1-3 with a walk in the game he played. Assuming you wanted to get Altuve a day of rest, it's hard to imagine any other combination of days played getting more total production as a result. That's a small sample size and backward looking, so it doesn't mean much as far as whether it was a good decision, but it is also the decision that theoretically maximized their production too (by playing each of them with the R/L split strengths)
