I think Steve Kyler has reported this at least once every other year since 2008.

Meh, Morey is always trying to move up. Usually fails to do so.

    Pipe dream:

Gordon for a 1st, then package that 1st with a future for Ryno to a team with cap space, opt-and-trade Lebron to Houston.

MAKE IT HAPPEN MOREY (assuming the CBA allows some permutation of that)

Never seen Kyler be right, but sure would be fun to draft a lottery pick/asset.

Not that I necessarily believe this but the George Hill for 15th pick trade a couple of years back worked out really well for the Spurs. Could be many motives behind this if true.

    1) could get young rotational piece that Morey has pegged as borderline all-star (a la Kawhi and the Spurs) - still a bit risky since we are definitely win now mode
    2) Trade Gordon to a team like Cleveland to get the 8th pick in the draft and use it and Ryan Anderson's contract to get an upgrade somewhere which would have to be at least an upgrade over Gordon somehow.
    3) trade Gordon for 10th pick from Philly and then use that and Ryan Anderson in trade for a borderline all-star as well as other assets.

Gordon for a lotto isn’t close. We’d have to probably attach a couple of 1st and perhaps take back some bad salary for a mid lotto.

It would definitely make the Cavs interested in making a deal with us though.

Sounds like Morey trying to get a pick to package with Anderson to make his contract more palatable in trade in order to have the space for LeBron. Although it would be cool to snag MPJ or Bagley

He would come right in & average 18 PPG.

I would say Memphis but taking back Parsons puts us in a worse situation unless we can circumvent him to Cleveland.
Philly at 10 makes sense unless they are seriously in the LeBron sweepstakes but they paid Reddick about what Ryno makes so its possible I guess

I'm not entirely surprised at this possible, but I have lost confidence in Morey's ability to discover a lottery gem, after Dekker's failure to pan out. Don't trade EG now.
