    Parson's deal is worse garbage than Ryno's. It would be the equivalent of tying an anchor to our ankles and jumping into deepest, darkest part of the ocean. Ryno's deal turned out to be the spoiled egg sandwich. We can survive in spite of it, but it hurts now.

    I'll say this: The Rockets reportedly interviewed Michael Porter Jr. The Ringer's mock draft currently has Michael Porter Jr being taken fourth. Could it be possible the Rockets are talking to the Grizzlies about a Chandler and #4 for Ryno swap? Memphis definitely needs shooting.

    I don't see it cause they have JaMaychal signed for like 7/8M and it seems like they like him enough...where they definitely need an upgrade is at the 2 and at the 3 so, they'll probably look to get a good enough SG/SF to be a big three player for them, while also dumping Parsons contract, that's why i think a Gordon on paper is perfect, lower their salaries by 10M, gives them more talent, shooting, defense and he's locked on a good salary for two more seasons. Gordon fits very well with what they're looking for here imo, which is not a star, cause you can't get a star with the 4th pick and Parsons contract, his contract alone makes the pick lose value obviously.

    The chance they have is to find a tanking team that has an all star to trade which fits with them, not sure it's going to be easy to find one though:

    - Atlanta have zero stars
    - Brooklyn have zero stars
    - Chicago have zero all stars
    - Cleveland with Love might be interesting if Lebron bolts, but Love with Gasol...ugh.
    - Knicks have zero all stars
    - Orlando have zero all stars, even though Gordon might be interesting here maybe...
    - Dallas have zero all stars, unless Memphis is good with getting back Barnes...
    - Clippers have zero all stars, but Harris might be interesting, but i don't see him as a 3
    - Lakers have zero all stars
    - Phoenix have zero all stars
    - Sacramento have zero all stars

    The only interesting options i see here are Love, Gordon and Harris, but they're all pfs... i think Memphis should be able to do better in a 3 way deal where they trade the 4th pick to a competitive team for an all star or a boarderline one, and that team uses assets to dump Parsons to a team with cap space like Atlanta, Chicago etc...

    Ryno, Gordon, other assets to Grizz

    Parsons, #4 to Cavs

    Wanted to stay “high” in the lottery is telling. They wanna move down a few spots to shed parsons.

    Cleveland at 8 makes a lot of sense. If you expect lebron to leave via free agency then Love+8 for Parsons+4 makes some sense since your gonna be in a rebuild.

    From the rockets perspective it’s a semi viable angle as a 3rd team for an opt in and trade.

    Memphis out: Parsons/McLemore/#4
    Memphis in: Anderson/Gordon/#8/Hou2nd/$5.1m

    Cleveland out: LeBron/#8
    Cleveland in: Parsons/McLemore/#4/hou 1st

    Houston out: Anderson/Gordon/1st/2nd/$5.1m
    Houston in: LeBron

    Still a long shot but that’s decent value all around
