A cool thing I have always thought. I read about in a long Joy Division article a long, long time ago in Spin magazine. A Joy Division album finished recording on the day I was born. Listening to the song you suggested in the first post of this thread currently.
I highly recommend Peter Hook and the Light Substance Tour (unfortunately already came through Houston). Hook and his band play both the New Order and Joy Division Substance albums.
I went through several (each) of turntables, 8 track players, and cassette players......and too many to count CD players, but my very first music CD (well, first and second) was New Order Substance. Heard Bizarre Love Triangle on some oldies station a few months back. Really made me do some self reflection. What I came up with is this: Damn I'm old.
