Also, the warriors learned in 2016 that going for the best regular season record is nice, but ultimately counter productive - pacing themselves and resting at the end of the year (I think they lost 10 of their last 17 games) meant they were fresher in game 7 than the rockets. Now the rockets have learned that lesson. We'll see how they respond next year - focus on the best regular season record, or save something for the post season. They only have themselves to blame.
27 consecutive misses never happened harden scored a 3 and they revoked it see how indoctrinated you are and how malevolent officiating can make you think bad of your game and your skills when what was truly lacking was fair officiating
No such thing as a healthy Paul. He gets hurt every year and that’s unlikely to change as he enters his mid-30s.
its about timing, rest and luck. if that injury happened in the first round he would've been back midway through the second and we would've won the chip. another issue was the 40-44 minutes our starters were playing in order to keep the games close. we need to add one more playmaker to keep his minutes around 30-32 in the regular season and then maybe up to 36 max against the warriors. he may only play 60 regular season games, and will definitely miss time in the playoffs too. but reducing minutes and resting on back to backs will help him be more durable later in the season. we may not need him in the first two rounds, maybe he needs to rest some games until we face the warriors. that hammy was due to overuse and lack of rest/recovery time.
First and foremost, Scott Foster needs to go. It’s a travesty that he wasn’t sitting in the pen with his BFF, Tim Donaghy. I wish Foster was in prison now, but I’d be happy to just see him retire from the NBA. Next - any league exec who is still active and was around during the Donaghy days also needs to go. These guys have hijacked the sport and have turned it into a wrestling type of soap opera.
I wish I could say I’m over it but I’m still as mad as when it happened. Not just at the refs but at the entire sitch.
we need to get lavar ball to heal him just kidding...cp3 is still in the process of being thought by harden to stay healhy! the beard got this!
So you are saying they are mentally weak and crater when adversity hits. Sounds like championship material to me.
Get over it people. Rockets lost and even if NBA were to come out and acknowledge missed calls etc they don't do anything about it. This season is over with.
hmmmmm there is perhaps some truth to it... but would like to see the worriers when a 22 points swing refs induced adversity hits them...imagine when they were down 15 in the second then the refs hit em and they fell down to being down by -37 in the third, would like to see the false champions how they get out of that adversity
I decided I hated the refs. I decided I didn't care. I decided I wouldn't watch. Spoiler but Spoiler I'm a basketballholic. Spoiler i watched every stinking second of those Finals. Spoiler BURP!
I'm sorry but this make absolutely no sense. Tell me how you win two rigged games by more than 20pts each. Sure a few bad calls either way and a couple of points but 20+ points? The perform under pressure bullsh1t. Game 7 was the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. That doesn't apply ever again nor does a lack of confidence. The Rockets didn't lose confidence in Game 7, they got knocked down and fouled every time in the paint. The Rockets in the first half of both games knew they were going to beat the Warriors and so did the Warriors and refs. Motivational guy from outside is a pile of crap, the people on the floor determine their fate including the 3 people not wearing team jerseys.
This is beyond ridiculous and doesn't apply to a Game 7 of a CHAMPIONSHIP or the refs. Both teams were tired and going with short benches and the Rockets were down a lot of minutes from no CP3 and Luc with no ability to play Ryno or Nene. If your responses continue to include lack of confidence, lack of preparation for playoffs, or any other bullsh1t not related to the actual game, I will just assume you didn't watch. The Rockets series with Wolves and Jazz went 5 games. Everyone knew the series with the Warriors would probably go the distance. When you play D the way the Rockets played you are going to get tired. The Rockets got past it but could not overcome a 20+ point swing from the refs. After that they would have swept the Cavs too. Would you have been claiming they lacked rest then? No, you would have been on here claiming how important HCA was in the series. Ultimately, that was negated by a familiar force. I don't have the exact record for when Harden, CP3, and Capela played together but they were virtually unbeatable and beat the Warriors 5 times this season but they couldn't beat Scott Foster or Tony Brothers in the playoffs.
Dont worry guys, Karma will be going hard after them. Career injuries will be looking for them and the snake will be back in the zoo.
Dude, Warriors are hoisting their own trophies. Losing CP3 to injury made losing the series that much tougher to swallow. However, a healthy CP3 didn’t guarantee a series victory. Warriors had convincingly beat us twice with CP3 playing. And, while games 4 and 5 were great wins, they could have gone either way. As much as it sucks to swallow the loss, the Warriors are hoisting what is rightfully theres, like it or not (I hate it and would love it if Durant suffered a career ending injury —- no i dont feel bad for saying this... he has all the money in the world, two rings, two finals mvps, and an mvp in addition to the rest of his all nba and all star accolades..
if a robber robs a bank successfully without being caught and leaving no traces or evidence is then the money rightfully his?
