Agreed and i expect Ainge to offer Irving if Kawhi doesn't commit, or Brown, Sac pick and fillers with maybe another pick if he commits. Would you trust him at this point though? Eh...

Honestly it's hard to see a scenario where San Antonio picks the Lakers deal. They are well behind several other teams that have interest in Kawhi

If it's a private school. More kids = more revenue. LeBron buzz at this time could jumpstart enrollment.

The Spurs aren’t taking on Batum’s contract in a Leonard deal.

If Boston still wants Kawhi, Boston will get Kawhi. They could offer Kyrie straight up, or a combination of Rozier, Brown or Tatum and either the Kings 2019 lotto pick or the Grizzlies pick they will get in 2020 or 2021.

Because Kawhi is arguably the best two-way player in the NBA. They are hoping Brown or Tatum develop into that. And if they let him go to Philadelphia or to the Lakers (who can build a super team around him), they are hurting their shot at winning a championship with all these assets.

according to nick wright, the fanbase will be irate if they trade tatum for kashi. they have no problem swapping kyrie for him though

Did Paul's kids just enroll? Paul lived in the Woodlands this past year.

That's not how places like Kinkaid or St. Johns work.... their acceptance rate (I suspect) is very low... It's a challenge to get in there.

They aren't looking for more enrollment.

Jerry West doesn't get enough credit for helping build the core of the current Warriors team. It sounds like he got pushed out.

Oh yeah, he also did a little something with the Lakers too

Yes, this was brought up by someone on this board in the "Chris Paul's Selling Houston Home" thread.

Kinkaid is an extremely wealthy school.

Jerry West is at worst the second best team builder in NBA history. Auerbach is arguably better, but West has done it more places. West also made the Grizzlies respectable too.

If I were Pop I'd still kick the tires and ask for Tatum and Brown. If Ainge declines I'd ask for Irving and Brown.

Kawhi hasn't officially asked for a trade yet. This is just the media doing their usual stupid **** to get clicks. I would imagine Boston has the best chance though given their assets and their standing as an eastern conference team. Fact is, Lakers have NO shot at landing Kawhi from the Spurs, Pop does not deal to western foes.

Spurs are not going to be involved in any deal that has them sending Kawhi to the Lakers. End of story. Its pure fantasy.
