Looking it at a high level this tells me that Ainge won't give a rat's ass about trading away Brown AND Tatum for a possible one year rental in Kawhi because he can just draft their replacements over the next few years.

Mother****ing Billy King...thank you for setting this machine in motion you no talent ass clown

Exactly. If they can get Lebron’s kid attending, they’re not going to ruin that.

What's crazy is they have SACs next year if its 2+ and MEM in 2021 which are likely good draft positioning baring major changes

The Celtics already tried to get him at the trade deadline. Their interest is well documented.

What if Kawhi basically tells every team, but the Lakers, thatvif they trade for him, he won’t be “healthy” and sit out another season. He could threaten another surgery, ect...He has already proven he is not above doing this.

Problem is for the salaries to work Irving or Hayward will likely have to be involved. Which removes Tatum pretty much right away

Won’t work with Boston. Once they a
cquire him they’d have an nba finals team with lots of assets still. And once the trade went through Lakers will have no way to sign Kawhi bc they’d be capped. At that point he can stay in Boston for the Supermax and go to the nba finals or go somewhere other than LA for $50+ million less. If I were Boston I’d do the deal period if I were comfortable with his health.

Not really. They can trade both Brown and Tatum without including their Big 3. They have a few end-of-the-bench guys (including Morris) that can be shipped out.

With that said, no way Boston trades both of them.

Kyrie has been rumored to be preparing to flee to the Knicks. Boston may be willing to move him to the Spurs (a team he told CLE he would be willing to go to) rather than lose him for nothing.

Tatum + Brown + Morris works right now, salary wise.

I think Boston should tread lightly here given everything they have going in their favor in terms of getting to the finals next season. As it currently stands they are going to be the clear favorites in the east going into next season even if LeBron moves from the Cavs to another eastern conference team.

Leonard can only get the supermax bu signing with the Spurs. If they trade him then he's no longer eligible.

Idk of it’s just me, but I would never ship Tatum for Kawhi. Kawhi’s a proven superstar, but he’ll get a bad rap for this, also no one knows if he’s healthy. Tatum is a rookie that led his team to the conference finals, he will be a superstar and everyone knows it.

If im Boston, if they’re asking for Tatum, I stand pat. Boston can compete with Golden State as they are.

I don't see any real reason to give him 219 M for missing so many games. Kyrie plus Brown and picks for Lebron on the other hand would be a tempting offer, if it works.

    LA options for Leonard
3 team with Fakers, Hornets, Spurs
    Fakers - Leonard
    Spurs - Kemba , Batum, Hernangomez, 2018 Lakers 1st
Hornets - Ingram, Ball, Mills, Deng, 2020 Lakers 1st

    Clippers
    Leonard for Harris 1-12, 1-13, 2020 Clips 1st

If I am Spurs.... Clips offer wins

    Agree with this.

They also don't need to. Nobody is offering a deal that includes a player like Tatum.

The Celtics don’t even need anybody in my opinion, they’ve already proven how good they are without the two stars in hayward abd kyrie

Why even mess that up spec when brown and Tatum are showing slot of promise

We don’t even know what a healthy Celtics roster looks like

I forgot about Morris and his contract. That could be a valuable piece to Kyrie/ Brown plus picks.
