Despite the hype, most logical people can look at the lakers and say they aren't a good trade partner. The only way anyone thinks he gets there is the "stars always get their way" mantra (which I've said before) or that he demands Lakers or no one. If he's open to the Clippers they have decent trade pieces. If he's cool with Boston that's an EASY team to work a deal out that makes both sides happy.
Harris, DeAndre(?) and picks (12 and 13) for Kawhi and Pau/Mills? I wonder how much they can get into the top 10 with those two picks...should be able to get in top 7/8?
It'll be like the time when you ask your mom for some Jordans and she comes back with a pair bought at the flea market where the Jumpman logo is not even Jordan:
Why move fast? I can see move fast if Kawhi basically says Lakers, Lakers, Lakers... I'll wait a year otherwise. But if he's open to 4-5 teams.. does moving fast get you the best deal?
Can create a few combinations, it all just depends on what they think of those two picks. Those are good but not elite picks.
Move fast because of the upcoming draft. Once this draft passes the Clippers aren't a great partner anymore and neither are the Kings.
Watch the Clippers trade the pick they got from the Rockets for CP3 in a package to the Spurs for Kawhi.
Kings... ok. Clippers?? I mean the 12th/13th pick doesn't exactly scream super valuable... even though it "could" be. Could always make trade after, too, though you'd expect the Spurs would want input on who is selected in those spots.
What you’re saying could well be true, but it could also be their plan b that they are fully exploring in case their super team ambitions fail. At this point, with kawhi, George and Lebron all in play you’d think they’d nab at least two of the three.
I expect nothing less from Houston's finest educational institution to create misdirection to help seal the deal on LeBron coming here. Kudos to you, Kincaid.
If the Celtics want Kawhi, they’ll get Kawhi. The have the best assets to offer, and can do so without hemmoraging their future, too.
That's absolutely insane. But with Heyward, what and how will they make that work? BOS is about to make the finals the next 3-5 years if they can make it happen. Even though I give 76ers a slight shot.
