Agreed. Everyone should be proud of their race. There is nothing wrong with that at all. Yao was proud to be the first Chinese NBA player, he is also proud to be asian. In a sense I'd argue Sam Dekker should be more proud than other White men tbh, cause only a handful can make it to the NBA lol It's not racist. It's not saying 'Since I'm white, or asian that I'm superior to you'. It's saying 'this is who I am and I'm proud of who I am'
I don't *need* it, no. LOL. If I was interested enough to click the thread, it's okay for me to be interested in why he felt the need to tweet it, right? Or not, whatever. I don't really care about Dekker. He gave us @Os Trigonum 's avatar, which was good of him, but after that, meh.
I'm pretty sure he's not running around with a confederate flag shrit, MAGA hat or wants a white ethno-state.
To me it seemed someone tried to be racist towards him, white shame him and he stood up for who he is. Acceptance should be universal.
there was nothing wrong with what he said, it's taken out of context as usual and his name gets smeared for no good reason. someone told him he should be ashamed that his skin is white.. and he responded
