While I don't think the Lakers are interested in Lillard, Steve Kyler has very little sources and he's a dbag as well
You didn’t misread. At first I didn’t mean 3-way trade but then you pointed out that my first plan wouldn’t work so I substituted for a 3-way trade. Anyways, seems like it would work but don’t know why I spent so much time on it
Getting a third player guts their roster. Maybe that's okay with Lebron.. I just don't understand why you would add to the clutter in the West. Not only will he be saying no to Paul, he will come out West as well huh. We'll see.
On the “in the key” pod, Shelburne didn’t overtly say Lakers were targeting Lillard, but she brought him up 2-3 times in “imaginary” lists of players that could be desired
It's hilarious that the most common argument used against LeBron to Houston nationally was "why would he come to the West?", yet now those same people aren't saying a peep about it regarding rumors of LeBron going to a worse West team.
I was thinking some more about the Lakers and Lillard which @cyberx mentioned. I just don't see that working as I don't see the Blazers making that trade. BUT....if the Lakers HAD to get a decent VET point guard to add to LBJ & PG they probably could kick the tires on Eric Bledsoe (who Lebron likes and is a Klutch Sports guy) and Kemba Walker (shooting). Both could be available. If you used Deng's salary, you probably would have to include a pick(s) and Ball at the minimum. Hornets might push for Ingram because of his college Duke ties. I could see that being interesting to them. Does that push them over the top to challenge the Warriors and Rockets (and Celtics)? eh. I guess it only matters to the Lakers if it makes LBJ happy.
It’s the LA lights and prestige, makes people oblivious to common sense. Probably think if LA can get George and LBJ, they could trade for Leonard and sign DMC to a 1-year vet min deal.
That is a very good point. There are good reasons to consider Houston and Philly. LBJ choosing the Lakers says (family/business interests) and I can shape the roster to be "good enough" but not optimal. Perhaps "good enough" is fine for Lebron. That might be the #compromise Windhorse kept talking about in regards to LBJ.
There’s a reason lawyers get paid so much TC, logical reasoning isn’t the average persons strong suit.
For sure Kemba is available, but the Hornets want to move him to attach a salary, like Batum. They are trying to clear money, not dump Kemba who is extremely popular.
Lebron should also consider that if he goes to L.A he would have still to beat at least two elite teams in the West, if he comes here well, there's only one left.
