It's certainly racist when the legislation is created along racial lines. We don't have federal IDs and our elections are run by the states but I'm sure good ole boys all across the South would be more than overjoyed for there to be a federal IDs and federal administration of elections. I think that's a great idea.
No, the "failure" in evidence here is the one who thinks poor people shouldn't be able to vote. I think you're lying here. You're talking about homeless people. I'm talking about people who work for a living who, when faced with the choice to jump through the hoops to get ID or not vote will choose not to vote. I'm talking about voter suppression, you're talking about fairy tales. And, as usual, yours isn't even worth the pixels on which it is displayed.
LOL, you feel personally attacked don't you? Have no fear, you can always turn your life around and maybe one day you won't view $16 as an insurmountable hurdle. I think you don't do a very good job of thinking. There's no way that people who work would view getting an ID as a legitimate hurdle....I mean, nearly everyone has to have an ID to get a job to begin with so if they work, they probably already have it. I think you just want to feel better about you personally thinking $16 is a lot of money....sorry, "working people" don't think that.
Not even remotely, but it would appear you have major difficulties with reading comprehension. I'm a long-time professional with a job that offers PTO, which you would have understood if you actually read my comments. Obviously, I don't. However, once again, you ignore every single potential cost except for the one paid at DPS. Projection, you're doing it right. People who can't afford to take a day off work would view the time that they have to spend at various government offices as a pretty big hurdle. I lived quite nicely without valid ID for nearly five years. Even got on a plane after 9/11, but that's a nice assumption you've got there. Statistically, minorities and the working poor are dramatically less likely to have valid ID than those outside those demographics. Just a fact that you continue to ignore. Again, you ignore all costs except for the money paid at DPS. Try thinking before you comment next time. You keep making the same comments which fail to address what I've said.
LOL, this crazy kid never gives up no matter how much he's embarrassed himself. Anyway, keep banging the drums or the dozen or so people in the US that can't afford a $16 ID, I'm sure you think those people make your case.
Tipjar bet that I'm older than you? Projecting again, I see. Still ignoring all costs but the one paid at DPS. Maybe someday you'll be able to address the comments I've made, but it appears today isn't your day.
The Democrats need an issue besides Trump. They need an issue to increase their turnout, they aren't cracking Trump support Edit: an issue like Healthcare. They can make an issue of Trump going after the ACA. How hard can it be to run on a spoiled billionaire trying to take away the ACA?
This will tough as folks are getting more aware that the "establishment" Dems always talk " progressive" when running and then rule "corporate" with little change for most people, including partuclarly poorer African Americans. Obama is a case in point. Granted Obama was an important symbol that many are making progress with racism and he may point the way some day for a progressive African American president who can help the lower 60% or so. I know it could have been worse and Trump is...……..
