Apparently the right for months have been hanging their hat on this IG report coming out today to be what shines a light on all the abuses Trump has received from the intelligence and law enforcement deep state.

So should be an interesting day on the conspiracy front.

My guess is it’s a lot about how Comey and McCabe acted in the Clinton investigation in 2016 with going public. Anytime light is actually shown on law enforcement it actually works against Trump so it might be better to have had this IG report in the dark these weeks to be played up instead of actually seeing it. Not sure though. Will be interested to see the details.

 

The IG report today is only covering the Clinton email investigation.

 

My guess is trump and his comms people have already been shown the report so whatever they can try to use to deflect away from Mueller and the ever-growing wave of evidence against trump will be pushed out there. I would anticipate a tweetrum from trump in advance of the formal release of the findings since trump cannot resist the compulsion to prerelease anything he can use to confuse and misrepresent. Surprised he hasn't already... perhaps there is less to the report than trump supporters hoped?

 

And I’m sure you think the deep state was trying to help Hillary and hurt Trump. Like I said... it’ll be interesting to see.

I think that’s why Trump has Tweeted recently about how everyone should thank him for firing Comey. I took that as “you Democrats should thank me for firing the guy who helped me win the election”.

But Dems can walk and chew gum at the same time. We can be outraged that Comey broke protocol during the election and also think Trump could not fire the man who was investigating him, and then brag about doing it for corrupt purposes.

 

I just want this to end. We know Hillary cheated. Big deal, she lost. Hopefully for America, Mueller finds that trump did not cheat. Our country is in a good place right now and hopefully we can get this investigation behind us and focus on more pressing issues.

 

You may be surprised, but I think most everyone agrees with this to some degree. And while I think its pretty certain that Mueller will find that trump "cheated" (heck, its pretty obvious with what is already public and trump and his people admitted to), I think a more realistic hope would be that Mueller does not find anything that would make trump impeachable. I have said before... impeaching a president is such a serious event and process, and many people that voted for him would feel their votes were taken away from them... that the crimes and evidence have to be at such high level to warrant impeachment.
