Osama bin Laden claims credit. If you have a conspiracy theory that's going to say the Illuminati did it, the burden of proof is on you. All you've offered so far is my everyman understanding of physics. Usually, me not knowing enough is a fault of my own; this time, it's a fault of your argument. It's not incumbent on me to understand the engineering of skyscrapers, it's incumbent on you to bring something persuasive if you want anyone to think 9/11 was an inside job. You say people are running away from the argument. What I see is you posturing as too good for this argument. You do, in fact, embody the overconfidence of conspiracists the OP was talking about. Please tell me at least that your day job is an engineer, so you have some plausible expertise to justify dismissing the report of the 9/11 Commission.
