1) The first priority in the offseason is try to sign Webber. 2) If not, sign Mo to middleclass exception if possible and resign Hakeem to a reasonable salary if possible. I think with Walt and Rogers becoming FAs next year, the rockets would have more, better FA options than by signing someone this year. 3) Ratliff would fit perfectly with the rocks. With Atlanta rebuilding, its only doubtful that they wouldn't be willing to trade him. The problem is it would take Cuttino+. 4) As far as the draft goes...I want Battier since he will help immediately. Morris would be a great pickup at the 20 pick or so. Shandon complains that all he does is stand at the 3line in the system. The knock on morris is that he stands on the 3line too much. 5) A good C would be nice if available, but I see the centers dropping faster than predicted allowing the SFs to drop. I don't want a high schooler unless he's a center or Chandler (I would love to see him as a PF someday 30 lbs in the future). 6) I've always seen langhi as a Bullard upgrade. I still see him in this role. Collier needs some work, but he's defintely a guy that could help next year. I wish he was automatic on his midrange jumper since I don't see him getting many post opputunities. 7) The Zone could help the rockets by hurting other teams more. I think it will take great shooting to win. Langhi may be a zone killer. Francis is good at the 3 shoot. Mo can shoot if he remains. I don't think the NBA wants to see the zones that are run with great athletes. One doesn't have to be in the paint to play goalie. I hate zones. 8)I still believe. I feel sorry for the rest of the NBA next year when a top ten NBA team gets 3 1st rd draft picks and maybe a high quality FA. 2001-2002 A Season of Redemption. ------------------
