I guess i never really understood the relationship between James and Durant, but i remember seeing them being caught out tohether various times after James came here, he also vouched for him when he was involved in both all star and MVP...i don't know, i always thought they were actually more close to each other than one of them ever was with Westbook...whatever...
odds just went bananas Which Team Will L.James Be On 1st RS Gm of 2018-19 Houston Rockets +1636 LA Lakers -150 Philadelphia 76ers +399 Cleveland Cavaliers +795 Boston Celtics +1233 San Antonio Spurs +1576 Golden State Warriors +5000 Field +970
LeBron is going to the Lakers who have cap space and assets in the form of young players and draft picks in arguably the most desirable city the NBA has to offer (especially if you are rich and ambitious still). I would love for him to be a Rocket but honestly if I were LeBron going to the Lakers makes all the sense in the world, especially considering the Rockets would have to gut its team just to get him...
https://www.slamonline.com/college-...ames-enroll-sierra-canyon-school-los-angeles/ Does this mean it ain't happening?
This is just day 1 on rumors of where his kids are going to school and where he’s looking at houses, etc etc etc
The Rockets would not have to gut the team. They'd do an opt-in-and-trade, just as they did for Chris Paul a year ago. Please do some research on this. And if you believe LeBron's own personal stated priorities, winning is far more important than going to the "most desirable city."
The school said it isn’t true. Having said that, it is a known fact that LeBron James’ wife wanted to leave Cleveland and move to Los Angeles to live as a family. Time will tell, because thus far in his career the decisions made by LeBron were his own and no one else’s. James on one hand said that the decision he makes will be basketball driven and that he is in championship mode and that he wants to play with veterans that can pass and are smart. That all points away from Paul George and LA and to Houston with Harden and Paul. Not to mention that Chris Paul is LeBron’s closest non childhood friend. On the other hand there is no doubt that James’ family and associates will push for LA. At the end of the day, the Rockets need James to decide quickly because they need him to pick up his option. At the end of the day the decision will be LeBron’s and no one else’s.
Where does this come from? I am not picking on you but this falsehood is passed around a lot. First the Rockets wouldn’t gut their team at all. Second, please tell me who the Lakers will be adding that are as good as Paul and Harden and Capela? The Lakers are likely looking at adding one other max player. Further the news that Leonard is likely resigning with San a Antonio doesn’t help LA. It is a real possibility that James goes to LA but the scenario you posted isn’t accurate.
How is going to the Lakers make all the sense, lifestyle wise absouletly yes but if he really wants to win rings and be in the same conversation with mj there is not a single team out there capable of beating the warriors except the rockets, assuming if we have to gut the team to acquire him are we going to pretend the Lakers are stacked all of the sudden..?? The Lakers with LeBron, pg and good supporting cast still wouldn't beat the warriors while the rockets with LeBron harden and cp3 and an average supporting cast would beat the **** out of the warriors.
I think we are seeing the gamesmanship of this process playing out right now from all sides. Your pod mentioned the Rockets leaking the Anderson buyout potential as a way to get teams to jump early at getting picks. I think we aren’t getting any real reports on this until it is over. We will be tea leaf reading these feints and leverage posturing with no real insight.
Some dude randomly calls up a school and ask if another man's child is attending there.... yeah the school reply was probably *click... dial tone*
