LeBron is much better at most everything, which makes him more valuable overall & would be first pick in a single year league wide redraft. Can elevate any team to contender level. If I just needed someone to go down the court and get a bucket or 10, from anywhere, against anyone, Durant is the most unstoppable scorer.
After game 1 of the Finals, LeBron appeared to have almost no confidence in his jump shot. Maybe it was because of the hand injury.
He missed a bunch of layup too. Maybe if he is at 100% they win a game, but realistically they had no chance against the warriors. Its not like he was that bad even with the injury.
on a scale of 0-100, lebron is a 96 while durant is a 93. durant is the superior scorer but it's not like lebron is some borderline 20 ppgs scorer either either. they both put the ball in the whole effectively, they just do it in different ways. lebron is basically unstoppable in the paint with adequate mid range and 3 point scoring. while durant is a much superior jump shooter can knock down jumpshots from any spot on the court. i give durant the edge because an unarguable jumpshot is more devastating as a scorer. i give lebron's passing and ability to control the game an edge over durant. the finals came down to a team with 2 MVP's / scoring champions taking turns going off on a team with only 1 MVP. durant does not need to carry the warriors every night the way lebron does.he can conserve energy night in and night out and just pull a good performance out of his ass once in a while.
I think we reaching the point where Durant is sorta overrated, but that's what being on this godly Warriors squad does, he is building his legacy in being one of the greats despite being biggest b**** in history of NBA. He can score and defend but how good he would be on squad like Cavs instead Lebron ? no one can double him because there are so many more weapons on Warriors. Teams actually double Lebron and dare his role players to beat them and he (Lebron) still amazes us every game. If Durant had spend so much energy fighting double teams and bringing same energy on D he would NOT be playing like he does, but all those scenarios are moot, because reality is he can afford to do whateva he wants on Warriors.
Durant has become a real jerk. LeBron is a long time jerk. It is really close, but I would give "best player" in the league to Durant. He is a seven-foot guard who has a killer shot; who can deal with that? Both are freaks of nature, but KD is a super freak.
Funny how Durant had WB, Harden n Ibaka, he couldn't beat James' Heat. Funny how Durant n WB had 3-2 advantages He couldn't get it done against the Warriors. Just swap LeBron and Durant Do you think Durant can carry Cleveland to the finals? They would have probably lost in 1st or 2nd round with Durant. He just isn't a leader like LeBron is on the court.
