I know a lot of you were sweating when you heard that B2K had split knowing you had bought great seats at the rodeo. Take the gun away from your head...there is good news: Teen group B2K splits, will still play rodeo here Copyright 2004 From staff and wire reports Platinum-selling R&B quartet B2K has split up, their manager said Monday. But the group is still scheduled to perform at RodeoHouston on March 5, rodeo assistant general manager Leroy Shafer said. The teen heartthrobs gained instant success and legions of screaming fans when they made their debut in 2002. Their hits include Bump, Bump, Bump and Uh Huh, and they will make their movie debut in You Got Served, set for release on Jan. 30. Pyramid Entertainment, the group's booking agent, told Shafer on Monday "that we have a valid contract," he said. "They assure us that even though B2K is no longer taking dates, they fully intend to honor the rodeo date." The Houston performance, with Bow Wow on Black Heritage Day, may be one of B2K's final performances, Shafer said. Pyramid told him that the group has another performance scheduled for March. 6. "We've had a great run together making hit songs, albums and now movies. The kids are growing up and are interested in pursing their own careers," manager Chris Stokes said. "I have enormous respect for each of them, and I wish them success in their pursuit of their individual careers. B2K was an extremely talented singing group that will surely be missed." A call to their publicist at Epic Records wasn't immediately returned. According to the statement, disagreements among the group members -- Omarion (Omari Grandberry), Lil Fizz (Dreux Frederic), J-Boog (Jarrell Houston) and Raz B (De'mario Thornton)-- fueled the breakup of B2K, which stands for Boys of the Millennium. Stokes said he would continue to manage the career of Omarion, who has the starring role in You Got Served. The soundtrack to the movie, now in stores, may serve as the group's last album together.
This is great...I was sweating it as well, but now I am content. I was two shakes and a squirrel from losing it but now I got it back with the wonderful news!
Yea, reading about B2K made me think that Kagy had a kid and named him Junior. Why I thought that, I have no idea.
This is called, "I need to move out of my parents house and get a real life." If this is the extent of your problems then you need to take more risks.
When I opened this thread I thought it was about something that has happened to you in your life... B2K? never heard of them...and aparently I won't ever since the split.
