We definitely need a power forward that can shoot.. If CP3 would have been OK we would be the ones on the verge of sweeping the cavs.. We are better then the warriors and we proved it.. they got really lucky... We definetely need more scoring upgrades and maybe another quality point guard, that can take pressure of Rubio.. would love to get some one like Pat Bev back and keep the defensive intensity on for 48 minutes... Lebron will basically taint our championship kind of like warriors have done with Durant.. beating the heck out of warriors then celtics next year with just CP3 and Harden would be epic, we would have been doing just that had CP3 not had the unfortunate accident.. I know its a gamble, as CP3 is very injury prone, but we don't need a superstar and break the whole chemistry of this team for years to come.. We will come out much better and be vindicated.. our star players will be much hungrier. We took a team to 7 games that was supposed to beat us in five... we would have beaten those clowns in 6 had we had a healthy CP3 and Luc Mbah Moute who had been our seasons best defender... we definetely need to upgrade with a shooting taller forward who can rebound and hit open shots... would love to get one of the morris brothers and replace him with Rynos minutes and Pat Bev.. we will clown the league defensively with just those two additions. We already average 115 points, getting lebron wouldn't mean we end up averaging 140.. we have already pretty much maxed out, and we can get much younger and much defensive minded players then Lebron James... players would love to come and play in Houstons fun offensive system with two specialist point guard..
hou actually does need a lebron/pg13 to raise the ceiling. Hou already has a very tiny window of playing mistake free basketball playing against GS. I loved this team this year but adding another year to these guys isn't really helping. And picking up supporting players here and there doesn't really do anything compared to what hou has now. Hou has to open that room for error window a bit more and get an actual impact player to not only remain on par with GS but surpass them Yeah Hou proved they were beatable this year but we can't assume GS wont improve their team next year by upgrading their depth, which I believe they will do
Cp3 gets injured every playoffs. We need Lebron. Him and Harden are the most durable players in the league.
I'm sure we'll all tell ourselves that in a month when Lebron chooses to sign elsewhere. For now.....WE NEED LEBRON.
look, it’s Bron Bron, PG13 or bust... CP3 is aging...at best he’ll be able to maintain the level of play he had this season, and if not, u hope that he declines only a little bit next season Also, CP3’s health can not be trusted. How many times has he gone down in the playoffs? Next season he’ll just magically be able to get through 4 rounds of the playoffs? Next season it might be a bad knee instead of a bad hammy. GS isn’t just gonna roll with the same squad next season, they’re gonna try to add even more talent and try to figure out ways to better combat our team. We need Lebron, or we need PG. I am not in favor of just bringing back this team with a few decent additions.
Given CP3's playoff injury history we at least need another star to carry the load. Last time I checked he fit that bill.
Your acting like other teams wont improve. Boston and Philly are going to be much improved. GSW are still the champs, and who knows whatever super team could form. If your not getting better, your getting worse. The fastest way to get better is to bring in the best players. The best player is LeBron. So logically we need LeBron
LeBron is definitely needed. I would go so far as to trade Harden for him. LeBron at 34 is still better than Harden’s prime.
Name one player who can score 50 points against the Warriors in the playoffs Hint it starts with "Le"
I’ve made my opinion clear. LeBron won’t play for Hardens team....LeBron has to be top dog. Better chance of going for maintaining/resigning our team minus T Black. Possibly minus Chinanu/Ryan Anderson Then Sign 2 or 3 FA’s: A) Tyreke Evans: 28 y/o.....19.4 pts/gm (17/18)......40% (3P%) (17/18) or JJ Redick: 33 y/o.......17 pts/gm (17/18).........42% (3P%) (17/18) or Wayne Ellington: 30 y/o....11 pts/gm (17/18)......39% (3P%) (17/18) or Avery Bradley: 27 y/o......14 pts/gm (17/18)......37% (3P%) (17/18) or Will Barton: 27 y/o.........16 pts/gm (17/18)........37%(3P%) (17/18) B) Mike Scott: 29 y/o..........8.8 pts/gm (17/18)........40% (3P%) (17/18) or Marrese Speights: 30 y/o.....7.7 pts/gm (17/18).....37% (3P%) (17/18) (4.5 3PA’s per game) or C) LaMarcus Aldridge: (player option) Amir Johnson: 6’9” 31 y/o Lauvernge: 6’11” 26 y/o Aron Baynes: 6’10” 31 y/o More depth that can actually get playing time vs top elite competition (with A & B.......maybe some of C). Possibly lose one of Ariza or Gerald Green. Re-sign Luc MaM and Ariza or GG.
There's nothing I like better than a huge chunk of text and a couple dozen ellipses. More... please...
i love when people go through all the effort of putting together a post like this, only to ultimately suggest some marginal improvements/sideways changes that will make no significant difference against the warriors
I agree we don't need him, but the excitement it would generate for the Rockets around the world is too great to even consider passing up.
