Knowing that the NBA as a whole is paid entertainment and rigged? I've lost all joy and feelings after witnessing game 6 and 7. For the first time in 25 years, i have not watch a single nba Finals game.
You just gotta enjoy watching the guys work hard and being proud of their fight - even when the deck is stacked against them... There have been plenty of years when we had no chance of winning - KMart/Scola years for example... but you get enjoyment outta watching your guys represent!
HOUSTON Rockets is all I need. Referees didn't help, but the Rockets choked. Wide open shots, missed.. over and over. The media isn't talking about refs like LAL-SAC, so it really doesn't matter.
I'm right there with the OP. To answer your question... I love basketball. I love the Rockets. I love that we have a championship caliber team! I just hate the NBA.
I was born and raised in Houston... live here now and have been a fan my whole life... and I enjoy sports..so I watch It’s pretty simple
I feel OP but deep inside I want Harden and Morey to win a title after all these years of hard work. Ariza as well but we might have to let him go this year to have a better chance. I also want these vets we have to win their first title with the Rockets.
agree except i LOVE NBA... I know its corrupted, rigged or kinda rigged but whatever it is very enjoyable to follow it...every human organisation is by its nature corrupted, so i learn to appreciate its beauty even with warts and all...last year it was one of the best offseasons then it was one of the best seasons ever now we got to enjoy perhaps the best offseason ever... what a time to BE ALIVE!
Because I was born loving basketball and the Rockets were the first team I chose. As a dumb little kid, I hopped on the Spurs bandwagon when they had Duncan & Robinson. I stuck enjoying both teams until highschool, casually following both but rooting for the Rockets when they played. Been diehard Rockets/Anti-Spur for a long time now.
I happened to watch Hakeem Olajuwon one late night 20+ years ago. Never saw a basketball game before that. The only 'game' they showed on TV then, was the 2nd half of a 'game of the week', late late night like past midnight. That one time got me hooked and I devoured every Hakeem and Rockets news, articles, piece of information I could get my hands on. Of course you hear names like Michael and Shaq, even Barkley, Ewing, Zo and LJ, they were hyped, but no one talked about Hakeem and I certainly never heard of him before seeing him play. Every week I'd stay up and hope they show the Rockets again for that week.
