I mean cmon you couldn’t write a better script for getting Bron to Houston.

I had $100 out in bets. I feel even more confident now.

In order for any team to win a championship next season, they will have to beat the Warriors and Celtics. Why people think it's in LeBron's best interest to stay East is bizarre to me, because he will have to face Boston and Golden State to win the title. He won't be able to beat either team. Regardless of Conference, he will have to join the best roster to have any hope in winning against those two powerhouses.

    Houston is the only option.

It'll be worse than that, all of a sudden a lot of them will become "life long Rockets fans"

Well Houston has a ton of Bron only fans. That’s the annoying part for sure

Sure, and they'll be on the bandwagon too, but I was talking about people who right now call themselves "life long Warriors fans" that will become "life long Rockets fans" if the Rockets get Lebron and it's clear the Warriors run is over.

I wasn't aware that ticket sales were a problem, isn't it that people buy tickets and either don't show up or show up late?

I know some are hesitant to max out CP3, but just look at a portion of it like a recruitment fee for getting Lebron. Lebron is worth more than max dollars, anyhow.

CP3's game is likely to age fairly well. Nothing he does is based on athleticism, it's almost all skill based. His defense will eventually fall off, but he'll still remain a good ball handler and his shot is solid enough. Now that said, he's injury prone so he'll probably miss a decent amount of time, but when he's healthy his play should be at a pretty high level till he's decently old.

True, but hopefully those executive casuals who hang out at the bar all night long opt into watching LeBron Harden and Paul dominate on the court instead.

Another way to look at it but will not happen.

    OKC in : Anderson, Gordon, 1st, $5.6M
    OKC out : Melo George

Hou in : Lebron, George, Melo signed to vet min
Hou out : Anderson, Gordon, Tucker, SNT Black Nene filler, 3 1sts, $5.6m

Cle in : Melo (waive and stretch), Tucker, filler, 2 1sts,
    Cle out : Lebron

I mean he did return to Cleveland and won a championship there. That's a start. Not to mention that KD to GS made Lebron to Miami look like nothing.

His legacy is still being written -- if he leads the Cavs or LA to another title or two, that goes a long way IMO to dispelling that he needed a super team to get it done.

If he comes to Houston, and don't get me wrong I'd be excited if he did, and wins with James and CP3, and you look back on it in 10, 20, 30 years, that's not nearly as impressive as when he won in Cleveland or if he were to go somewhere like LA. Of course he'll need other really good players with him, but teaming up with Paul George is a little different than CP3 and Harden.

Who cares in 10 20 or 30 years? We want a championship and we need one now.

It's the injuries that are scary. Especially the timing of them. John Stockton was a point guard who didn't rely on athleticism and was able to play at a high level for 2 decades. But he never got hurt except for one time late in his career. CP3 could theoretically be great for the next 3-4 years, but he's also gone down with injuries in 3 of the last 4 postseasons. And the one time he didn't get hurt, his team was knocked out in the first round.

All that being said, the Rockets with LeBron, Harden, and Capela probably still win the title next year. But if CP3 can stay on the floor, they not only win the title, but they probably lose only a game or two in the entire playoffs.
