At this point I don't see Heimlich getting drafted.

I personally don't think anything aside from cold blooded murder should be a lifetime scarlett letter for a 15 year old, but many people obviously feel different. It would certainly be a PR nightmare for any team that does draft him. They will be popularly viewed as "condoning" child molestation if a player is talented enough.

And if he does manage to move through the minors, this is gonna be a thing that follows him forever. The words child molester carry such gravity. It will no doubt require some high level mental toughness to succeed with this cloud around him 24/7.

In Kaplan's Athletic article, Elias mentioned they had their eye on some high schoolers in the 3rd round, but it didn't fall the way they wanted, which might mean they do have some money to play with today.

If he killed someone at 15, he would have a better chance of being forgiven.

I don't know that he is going to get a chance. He may have to try and play overseas.

I don't think this is going to end well for anyone involved.

Round 13, Pick 402: Shawn Dubin, RHP, Georgetown College

This is an NAIA school in Kentucky, not the Georgetown in Washington, DC.

Dubin started at Buffalo, but transferred when the Bulls shut the baseball program down.

We definitely seem to be targeting relievers.

Without knowing anything about him, I'm going to assume he can hit 95 with a tight curveball.

I imagine a number of these guys will be tried as starters initially, but you're not going to find a lot of players with 3 good pitches right now, so they target good curves and see if the can develop everything else.

Still only one high schooler through 14 picks. Wow.

Good glove, solid athlete.... cannot hit that well.

    Possible future utility player.

Good but not great college player, I have seen a fair amount of him.

One of 3 finalists for the Johnny Bench award. 7 of last 20 winners have reached the majors.

17 rounds in, 16 picks from 4 year colleges. No left handed pitchers.

He is another pitcher that is a pretty good athlete.... Astros have targeted good athletes at the pitcher position to modify their delivery and increase their "stuff".

Has a good fastball, okay secondary stuff. Throws 3 pitches from what I remember. I see him as a bullpen guy.

Over valued in the draft and usually drafted above their likely ability.

If a pitcher is good, it doesn't matter as much as some seem to think if they are left or right handed.
