People who keep thinking Hinkie wouldn't pick Porzingis don't know anything about Hinkie's style or how The Process actually worked.

Hinkie prioritized the P word over anything else, it didn't matter if the dude was injured (Embiid), had character red flags (Noels) or was a risk to even come to the NBA (Saric). So why the F would Hinkie choose an undersized but skilled center like Okafor over a prospect like Porzingis? It didn't matter if Hinkie couldn't get an interview, LOL he didn't even know if Saric was gonna come over when Hinkie drafted him. You think not getting an interview was gonna stop him? LOL

    You forgot Tatum. Easily:

    Embiid
    Porzingis
    Tatum
    (*)
    Simmons

Who was running the draft for the 76ers? That pick was made before Jerry was there.

The probe has largely become centered on Colangelo's wife, Barbara, as the possible operator of the so-called burner accounts.

An angry, embarrassed Sixers ownership group has been discussing the possibility of firing Colangelo, sources said. The Sixers are pushing for a resolution as soon as early this week.

The investigation has increasingly focused on Colangelo's wife as the author of a barrage of incendiary and revelatory tweets centered on Sixers players personal lives, injury health, proposed trades, former employees and rival league executives - as well as praise for Colangelo himself.

Colangelo's assertion that he was previously unaware of any tweets by his wife has been met with skepticism inside and outside of the 76ers. So far, ownership has been reluctant to separate Colangelo from any family member or close associate responsible for this embarrassing episode, league sources said.

What a bunch of BS Colangelo did it and can't get out of it, so he blames his wife. No one is going to believe this garbage. He never should have been in charge of the Sixers to begin with; he got the job because the NBA could control him.

This is interesting that the firm’s hire has been announced almost a week after this news dropped.

I do suspect that Colangelo’s wife may have been involved, but if he was giving her the information Colangelo is ultimately responsible.

Now that they have hired a firm I bet this may not be resolved now until after the Finals. They had a chance over the weekend but now that the Finals is a lot less interesting in many ways Silver may ask the Sixers to wait until after they are done to prevent anymore distractions.

His wife doing the tweets makes more sense, honestly. It’s hard to believe that he wouldn’t know anything about it, though. Kind of dumb if he knew about it and it didn’t cross his mind that it could be connected back to him.

I actually hope he keeps his job, at least for another month, that would mean no Lebron regardless for them.

Hinkie wanted Porzingis, ownership stepped in and said take Okafor. Months later Colangelo was the GM
