im not assuming we have to play him that much every game. Im saying if we had another rotational piece we hit more 3s in that game 7. Which could completely change the outcome.

Ok then. I don't disagree with that. I, too, am all about more shooters. Your original post was a challenge to my idea that would have brought LBJ or PG13. In that lineup, there are plenty of rotational players that could dispell some of those long minutes, which I think we agree will help preserve our players legs. That bench, if doable, would include GG, LMaM, Ariza, Covington, and JJ. All those guys can shoot from distance.

I would say resigning CP3 first as he will and can lure Lebron for us. Next is to find the third team to offload ryno for a sign and trade with Cavs.

Then we work with CC or match my offers out there.

No. With exception to DJ (as I admit I was misinformed on his willingness to take a paycut for us), those transactions all follow the 125% trade rule. It’s also why I asked for corrections in case I didn’t understand the trade rules.

So instead of just kneejerking your way into a response, why don’t you try reading the whole thing and adding something of substance.

Otherwise, stfu and keep to yourself.

No, i did not disagree about lebron, where did i say that? I WANT LEBRON. IVE WANTED HIM FOR YEARS. Cmon man. You are counting on Black/ and nene to backup your 4/5... and Qi... i think mbah a moutes injury screwed him, but can you trust those 4 to play the 4-5 in critical situations? Not the best idea when going against a team that could win 3 of 4 championships. How many minutes did those guys get vs golden state? Idk if nene/black/qi touched the court and now they are going to be role again players in dethroning a dynasty? Even with lebron we need another backup that can come and play for a little bit. I never wanna once said wow we dont need lebron!! Edit: i didnt see ariza, he would be an obviously pretty nice 3/4 backup. This is all if we can get homecount discounts too. I see ariza staying but we’ll see. I would love covington

I didn't say you disagreed. I was just saying that your original PJ argument was to my hopeful free agency wishes post, which I described as "would have brought LBJ or PG13".

At the time of my first post, I wanted DJ thinking he would come here at a discount, but I was corrected but just didn't edit the post. Either way, if no DJ, then we can likely get Brandon Wright back. With LBJ, CP3, and Beard, there's really only a need for a running lob man at 5. That team can challenge a GSW team for sure. Qi and Black can play backup for a few minutes as you wish. They just can't play a lot but for different reasons.

The trades follow the 125% rule for incoming and outgoing contract values.

    Ryno + picks for JJ/Covington:
    $20mm out
$18mm in (JJ at $8mm/yr new SNT contract and Covington at $10mm/yr under new and signed contract)

    EGO/Cap/NG for LBJ:
    $36mm in (per BimaT)
$35mm out (EGo, Cap at max offer as substantiated by Suns)
I would also like to see NG included to increase the amount leaving (this helps us and helps CLE as they've got Clarkson and Hill's big contracts to deal with themselves)

    Resign CP3:
We have his birds so we can give him a max

Sign Brandon Wright/Ariza/LMaM/Green/Black to small deals. But none of these guys are so indispensable that it would stop the above plans if they were to go down. Even if you're worried about player exhaustion.

I guess the only question left here is: if this is something you don't see going down, then why and what other alternative gets us LBJ?

Capela is still getting better. If he gets stronger he will start to even things out with Draymond.

Of course moving Anderson is paramount ….. BUT it has to be done as part of a deal that doesn't just shed his salary but brings in "help".

That contract is literally your only means of salary intake for a player new to the roster.

I haven't even read this entire comment. I'm stopping you where I bolded.

No way on Gods green earth are we getting a DPOY candidate that we literally handed to them for free by cutting him..... for the worst contract in the league behind Joakim Noah and Chandler 3Bang.

This doesn't work at all. Simple facts SNT hard caps us. Capela RFA cannot be traded without consent and is a base year compensation player so only half the salary counts in trade. Anderson + 2 1sts is required to remove him from this team. Those options are Sac, Cle, and OKC. Why OKC? They have two problems in Melo and George. There are opportunities.

Please name any lottery teams that need to fill out their cap room as a pre-requisite to starting the next season. That's the only remote chance at moving Ryan's contract, I believe, along with at least 2 unprotected first rounders.

After Rynos great post season performance , it’s not very likely that he will be moved.

I already addressed where Ryno was going and I listed the same price you quoted in the same post. I just didn't go into depth on why. I was responding to the problems with the other proposed trades.

    You’re stopping me? Lol

Actually, they have the cap space, and they get picks plus a guy who can replace Ersan.
