Even if he gets fixed, Anderson will always be a liability against Golden State. Better to trade him and use that money to find better personnel fits.
It would be interesting if he could dribble worth anything If when chased off the 3 he could take it into the lane. Rocket River
Ryno got fixed at the dog pound. Putting rubber balls on him doesn't make any difference. Won't even shoot the damn thing.
I think he can be fixed, but not in Houston. He needs a new start somewhere else. After losing his coach's confidence, I don't think he'll be getting it back. And, he's a bad fit for the defensive philosophy. Finally, his contract is now very problematic. With Capela's salary increase, Rockets will have to very careful about operating around the lux tax apron. Remediating an unproductive player with a $20m contract isn't careful. He must be traded or cut or something to get him off the salary cap no matter if he can get better or not.
I think he can be successful again somewhere else. He is an elite shooter, and his confidence was destroyed here one way or the other. Don't understand it, but it happened.
That is my main concern I am worried he can do NOTHING *HERE* That said I think a team that is building for the future can use him A Team that knows it will need cap relieve in a year or two before it is competitive Rocket River
It seems to me that since he got married that he's not productive as a player anymore and looks lost even in game 6 with trash time and even worst in game 7.
TRADE SUGGESTION: Assuming this is not a LeBron deal breaker Tristan Thompson + KLove 16/17/18 + 22/24/25 Ryan Anderson + Capela [Sign n Trade] 19/20/21 + Max [or similar to Klove Money] Do you pull the trigger on this? Rocket River
DeAndre + Beverly + Tobias Harris + Danilo Gallinari 24 + 5 + 14 + 21/22 Ryan Anderson + Capela [Sign n Trade] 19/20/21 + Max [or similar to Danilo Money] Maybe Rocket River
This. He's mentally checked out. He passes up open shots and looks like a deer in headlights on defense.
Everyone still seems to forget the ankle injury he had at the end of the regular season with no time to really adjust in time to play significant minutes. Has to account for something.
I see the allure of fixing Ryno. Lately he's been pissing and crapping everywhere, in the corners, on defense, heck he took a huge dump right in the middle of the floor the entire second half of the season. His wife might object to him getting fixed, but, I've heard sometimes it does wonders to curb behavioral problems.
For everyone clamoring to "Stretch" anderson.. please SHUT UP. His salary is needed to make trades happen. With 2 years and $42 million, he isnt immovable. He will be moved, but it will just cost the Rockets. But then again, we are ALL IN, so might as well. But stop mentioning the Rockets just eating his money. It will serve no purpose. It will just be dead money. It wont get you under the cap to sign other players. Nothing. Soooo SHHHHHHHHH!
This summer it will cost I think next summer it would not cost as much . . .maybe a benefit Rocket River
I don't think you can have faith in him fixing his shooting at home because it's something that goes over what he can realistically fix, unless the Rockets change something in the building and/or about the floor he won't shoot well.
Unfortunately there is no saving Ryan’s privates as he does not have any testicles. Hence nothing to save.
Nope he's done on our team. He didn't show up last playoffs, now this playoffs. We called him Road Ryno....its apparent it should be Regular Season Road Ryno. Even further: Regular Season, Quarters 1 thru 3 only, Road Ryno.
