I haven't seen any posts in a while. I'd love to hear the current rumblings, especially so close to the trade deadline. You just have to know we're going to make another trade.
I was tempted to start a thread recently asking if JVG's ship was that much tighter than Rudy's. It seems that even the occassional rumor has dried up, except for the scattered stories from out of town newspapers that might as well be complete BS.
I think you all hit the nail on the head. Seems that all the acquisitions/trades have come out of nowhere since JVG has been in charge.
I think there was inside info on the Moochie/Ameachi for Weatherspoon trade. I know it was mentioned on this site before any national sites or sports channels announced the deal.
I think (?) Rocket Rich reported that from a media source. I guess when I mean insider, I mean reporting something the media hasn't reported.
I think Rocket Rich has some contacts with the knicks organization. He learned of the trade from them.
No. He was 2way messaged by some friends. Here's his exact quote from his thread: "Motorola 2way pager. It's not a link. I'm trying to verify to make sure this isn't a joke but so far two of my contacts just messaged me."
Then hopefully he will be the first to tell us what the Knicks get for Moochie if those rumors are true.
I guess I meant Rocket insiders, and after reading his post, it appears the media was reporting the information at the same time he received the page from his "contacts". My guess is the contacts heard it from the media.
Inside info is a lot more tighter now under JVG than Rudy. If it was up to JVG, he wouldn't let ANY of his players or coaching staff talk to anyone. Also, the Toyota Center used to have 2 entrances to the locker room area but JVG changed it and closed the second before the season started. Now there is only one way getting in and out of the locker room. That's how he ran his ship in NY and that's how he's running it now. It still doesn't stop me from getting random info every now and then.
