The more I watch Chicago play this season, the more I like what I see from this former Jayhawk star. He reminds me of a more athletic Steve Nash. Is there anyway we can get him so that we can have KH and Steve as the starting backcourt?

I think wecould get him, but Steve would be playing in Chicago. I proposed a trade a while back.

    Steve Francis and Maurice Talor

    for

    Kirk Hinrich
    Antonio Davis
    Marcus Fizer

This will afford us great cap flexibility in two years.

AD is way over paid but he is superior to all of our frontcourt players except Yao and can cover PF and C.

Kirk Hinrich is going to be a star PG and plays solid D as well as being a good shooter and slasher.

Marcus Fizer provides some depth and versitility at the forward position.

I don't think Chicago would do this due to the potential that Hinrich is showing and we would be taking a huge gamble on that same potential. Steve Francis is not worth his contract and is not improving as a basketball player. I for one would like to get something for him while there is still value in his hype.

Only if they want Mobes, but I highly doubt it.

I don't want Davis and Fizer, and I don't want to trade Steve.

KH is a tremendous PG and I believe that Steve can flourish playing alongside him. I don't think that Chicago will trade KH for Cat, or Cato.

I don't like Kirk Hinrich that much. At least he's a better PG than the one we have that at least try to make good pass to his teammates.

If CD could pull that off then I think the threads about him might change a little... just a little.

 @ yall wanting to trade an All-Star for a rookie...wow...Francis is doing just fine in the PG role, looking for others while also breaking down defenses...a rookie to take the spot of an All-Star? Is that some kind of sick joke?

And whats with all the trade ideas? It's like yall wont be satisfied unless a Kobe or Shaq is brought in, as if a Yao and Steve isn't doing just fine enough. I mean, cmon, let's get a little bit of sense with these concepts.

You guys think trading a proven All-Star PG for a unproven rookie PG, an underachieving center and an underachieving SF is a "Dream" move that should be done in a heartbeat? And you would gain respect for CD for making a trade like that!? That's crazy!

Hinrich is everything you need as a complementary player--great decision making, good hustle, and solid penetration ability. However, he will never be a star in this league, which is what Steve Francis is. You should never ever trade a star for a role player. But I would do that Steve for Hinrich and Chandler deal because I really think that Tyson Chandler has a chance to be one of the best players in this league.

Only if Jay williams and EG weren't idiots, they'd probably pull the trigger on a Mobley + EG for Hinrich and Fizer

    if only.

You think that is a bad trade, FOR THE ROCKETS?!?

If anything, I was expecting some "Why would the Bulls do this?" type responses. Chandler is averaging double digit rebounds in under 30 minutes a game. Hinrich gets more assists than Steve despite playing 20% fewer minutes, he shoots at a higher percentage too. All we really lose at PG is rebounding, which you don't really need from a PG anyway. As for Eddie Robinson, of course he is underacheiving, that is why I included him, to give the Bulls some incentive to do the trade. If you think Chicago would go for it without E-Rob in there (after all, they would only be losing an underacheiving center and an unproven rookie PG) then that is even better, heck maybe you think we could get Eddie Curry or somebody in the deal too.

Here is super unbalanced trade just for you:
    Houston trades:
PG Steve Francis (17.2 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 5.4 apg in 39.0 minutes)
SF Bostjan Nachbar (3.3 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 0.8 apg in 11.8 minutes)
    Houston receives:
PG Kirk Hinrich (10.0 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 5.5 apg in 28 games)
SG Jamal Crawford (17.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 5.7 apg in 31 games)
    C Eddy Curry (13.3 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 0.9 apg in 26 games)
PF Tyson Chandler (13.0 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 1.0 apg in 10 games)
Change in team outlook: +33.2 ppg, +16.1 rpg, and +6.9 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

There's no way Chicago's going to deal Hinrich.

He's a John Paxson replica. got it?
