no doubt about it, these rockets are tired. they obviously have nothing left. i am not mad, they just worked so hard and made the push a little too early. i would still consider this season a success. we did alot better than i expected for a team on the rebuild.

I think there is a difference between being beat up and tired. Are they tired or beat up? How long has Francis been playing this season with a bad ankle?

Francis defense is definitely not hoping all over the place, although the rebounding is still there. Rebounding and defense are generally the telling signs of tiredness. Lack of offense as well can mean limited motion from aches and pains.

The telling thing for me is to notice how few times Mobley has ISO'd in the last 3-4 games, especially considering Mo' has been out. Cat finally did about 3-4 against Dallas in the 4th Q when nothing else was working, but he usually runs a set of them in the 2nd.

imo, i've noticed Cat not running as many plays as usual...like I say, especially considering Mo has been out. Cat not running plays could be a systemic change (but in the middle of a playoff race?!), or it could be he has some kind of ache that is slowing him down. So far, Cat is known to hide injuries. He usually does not mention them until they get bad.

That's a good point, heyP, but I don't agree. Every top-tier player in the NBA plays hurt at one point or another. Alan Iverson practically plays
every game in a body cast. IMHO, the Rockets are tired AND hurt. Hurt because of injuries, but tired due to their considerable (and ultimately
unsuccessful) drive for a playoff spot. This team has tons of heart, but you can't play with that intensity forever.

I was proud to watch this year, and I am full with anticipation for next year's action.

Well this is clutch time. This is the time the Rockets need to come out of being tired and make some moves. (Or they needed to.)
