If he doesn’t go Monday y then we know that that hammy is bad enough for the brass not to risk career altering/ending damage.

I get that, I really do, but that's not an excuse when you have Durant, Curry, Klay, and Green on your team.

The idea that neither of these guys can make up for Iguodala's absence is just silly.

I remember everyone saying that we NEEDED Luc, that we could not get this far without him, he has barely been a factor at all this playoffs, I said then that we win or lose on the backs of Harden and CP3...

Yet people wanting to make excuses for Durant and Curry, they are both as healthy as ever out there and need Iguodala...says a lot about them I guess.

If he was younger, hell yeah he would deserve every penny of a max contract. But being on the other side of 30 being injured yet again at this time of year? That's gonna be tough. It's a huge gamble giving an older injury prone player max money.

You can walk on a strained hamstring without much problem, but you can't play basketball on it.

I got a sense after D’Antoni subbed in Joe Johnson to play with the starters that Paul might not be ready for game 7. D’Antoni realizes that we need another creator on offense and tried experimenting with JJ.

I don’t think he’s snake bitten. It doesn’t seem like he conditions his body well for the season like other players do. You don’t see the constant injuries with other high usage stars like Kobe was or Lebron. They purposely work hard to condition their bodies for the season. Chris is freaking injured EVERY year. And it’s a shame whatever team he’s on can’t count on him for the long haul.

c*ck teases. I started to believe. I WANT to believe. But 25 second half points makes it REAL hard to believe considering no Paul in game 7. This just blows on so many levels. I really REALLY want to be the ones to send those golden state twits on vacation.

At least we know that the refs are heavily favoring the team with home court advantage, based on game 6.

For some reason, I can't help but think CP3 will play in Game 7. It may be limited(15-20 minutes). It may even be off the bench. But unless there's a tear they're not telling us about, I have a hard time believing with this being Game 7 and a trip to the Finals at stake that he won't give it a go.

CP3 needs a Spurs like program to help prevent injuries/mitigate the risk of injuries... seemed like this year he played and played heavy minutes most every game he was available... IMO that's not good .... he should rest often... seeding matters less than having so much wear and tear on an older/injury prone player.

Whatever the cause it's frustrating as hell. It's like clock work every year for him this time of year.

love cp3 but if he can't play for game 7 and we lose, he has to take a paycut next year. can't give a longterm max contract to an aging point guard who not only struggles to make it through the regular season but is a roll of the dice in the postseason.

Smokescreen to convince the NBA to use Tony Brothers for LeBron instead of Curry.

We know what that "whatever " is this season.

    It's fatigue.

A short rotation in such an immensively competitive series at both ends of the court is just asking for trouble, especially when that player is injury prone to begin with.

No doubt. Gonna need that extra money to sign another star level player to offset his injuries.

Yeah even before Paul's injury I was worried about the 7 man rotation. MDA is stubborn with strict rotations this time of year but Paul is the last player you can run in the ground.

You're kidding, right? The dude missed 24 games this season. And not all of those were necessary. His bruised knee early in the season didn't require a month off. They just played it safe with that injury. And the ones he missed late in the season were to rest a sore hammy. It wasn't a strain or tear.

If CP3 is still gonna break down in the playoffs despite missing nearly a third of the regular season and getting plenty of rest between each round(remember, the Rockets defeated both Minnesota and Utah 4-1), then he's too injury prone to build around(see T-Mac and Yao).

Rockets really looked after him this season. Only averaged 31 mpg, what else do you want?
