I was wondering what happened to Al Sahaf, the Iraqi Information minister. ;)

Now if Al Sahaf (syin1) will only be so kind as to tell me where he is hiding I can collect on the reward still out for him. :D

Except the oversimplified conclusion you made (i.e., "Yao should leave H-town for another team", this analysis per se is right to the point.

Confucius says: "Good medicine tends to be bitter, but it cures your ailment".

Deep thoughts, that's what we need. Maybe give the players some books on Chinese wisdom with some notes from JVC in them.

Yao's response is only funny in Chinese :). Too bad, I don't how to translate it into English to make it sound funny, but imagine Steve singing Pink Floyd's another brick in the wall using some street slang.

What that its everyone else's fault that Yao isn't dominating the NBA like he did the CBA?

Puhleeze... I'm far from a Yao basher and like the guy but I don't think its Francis, Mobley or Taylor's fault that he gets winded and can't hold onto a rebound.

This is a team sport but individual performance still matters.

If I had 5 dollars for everytime Steve or Cat would pass the ball to Yao to make a dunk or even make a shot but suddenly get punked in the paint I would have my money for my next years tickets.
The problem is not Steve and Cat are ballhogs the problems is Yao needs to step up and play some damn street ball!

Yao is soft and it's not all his fault, it was the way he was trained and brought up.

We need Yao the "Chinese Assassin" Not Yao the marshmallow

Here is an idea, instead of Yao going back to China every summer he should go play street ball at R. Park or at the Dome in Baltimore.

I believe there will be another trade before 19th, Feb. 'coz except Cato, we still have 4 PF. It's something like malformation or deformity. What if we trade Maurice Taylor and Scott Padgett for Blazers' Rasheed Wallace? or we send Cat to Pacers for Ron Artest?

I can't get over the players' reactions to the trade - especially Steve's in today's Chronicle. Apparently Moochie was untouchable in a lot of the player's minds - WHY?? The players act like we just traded away Shaq or something.

When I first saw that the Rockets had made a trade on the tv - I didn't hear who we got but I heard who we gave up. And I thought "Well, whoever it is he ain't gonna be worth much if that's all it took to get him."

these millionaire ball players are more dramatic than a bunch of schoolgirls

    Absolutely, I have to agree.

    Reality check

It took a few days, but Steve Francis was finally able to talk about the trade of his friend and former teammate Moochie Norris.

The news came as a shock to Francis when he heard Norris had been traded to the Knicks on Tuesday.

"That's the toughest thing I've had to deal with besides going through my headaches and stuff," said Francis, who was plagued by headaches and dizziness two seasons ago.

A number of the Rockets said Wednesday that the trade made it clear nobody's job is safe. Francis received the same message loud and clear.

He said it was the first time since he's been in the league that he really understood the NBA is a business.

"It's something that you learn to deal with," he said. "Did I like (the trade)? Hell no, I don't like it.

"I know it's a business now. I don't care how much money you make. It's a business. People can say you're rich and you've got this and you've got that. But you never know when your time comes. I know now."

    Whatever.

If he did not know it is a business, then how did he sign his max contract that pays him millions, millions AND MILLIONS over the next few years.

How did that happen if it was not a business?

"It's a business" is the term players use to indicate that this isn't all about friendship and loyalty. Though immense friendships and loyalties can be built, they can be overlooked, because- it's a business.

Steve is upset that his boy got dealt. If it's shocking that you can't be paid well and play like crap or you might be traded, then maybe that's a shock that Steve needs.

Logic says: "Just because something taste bad or is hard to swallow doesn't make it good for you or cure anything."
Yao has a town, coach, teamates, and family that have faith in him and are working hard to help him succeed. To fault the team for their efforts is a big example of idiotic unracionalism and blind stupidity...

Yao will be just fine, the team will be just fine, and if you go drink something really really really bitter and nasty... maybe you'll be fine too

I am shocked that the players are so shocked. Were they watching the same Moochie that I was watching? Kenny Thomas being traded last season didn't get the same reaction as this trade and Kenny is twice the player Mooch is.

I for one am glad the players took this trade hard. It just shows that just because you're tight with the alleged "Franchise" player or players that you're going to stay with the team.

Moochie wasn't cutting it, he hadn't been for two seasons now. It doesn't matter whether or not he was a good locker room presence. I seriously think this will serve as the kick in the @ss this team needs, and hopefully the team will take this as the wake up call and do something about it.

If this trade doesn't jolt the team into playing better, then I'm pretty much ready to see the team dismantled (except Yao, and no I'm not of the Yao-only faction) and rebuilt, it would suck, but something needs to change and this needs to be the season that it all culminates.

There is no award out for him, smartie:rolleyes: He is not even wanted by the U.S.

The only reason I think we might want him is to have working on SNL so we all can have few laughs
