He wouldn't be willing to come off the bench and wouldn't deserve to start over Tucker or Ariza. What do you do with a guy like that?

Let me see, Green is a better shooter, a better defender, a better teammate and moving without the ball.
The problem is he would have played and we would have been swept after barely getting past the Spurs and Pelicans from the 2nd seed. He would have prevented us from going the deep stretches during the season of relying on the Tucker, Luc rotation because he would have been far more effective than Ryno but not enough to deserve being on the court over them. It would have stunted their development and cohesiveness with the team and would have stunted the team's overall commitment to defense. Ryno hurt us by being a nonfactor but is not hurting us now by being detrimental. We can just pretend he doesn't exist and play with our remaining players. The trade not happening helped us because we could disappear Ryno but not Melo.
