According to todays Chronicle story, Wilks, Mobley and JJ will spend time at the point. All playing time will be based on performance.

Wikes adds a different speed dimension...I am hoping he plays like Earl Boykins.

good point, DaDakota, Wikes has to work hard for his shooting touch. Wikes has better ball handling skill than Steve.

Yeah..I wouldn't mind Mike Wilks playing with Steve Francis. Moochie played with Steve sometimes...why not? We still have Mobley and Piatkowski as well.

    180 pounds too.

haha he wasn't as short as Baby Bash and Frankie J crew. :D they got talent though so yes good job.

That's the very first impression I had of Wilks way back in pre-season. The guy pushes tempo and has court sense very similar to Boykins.

He also appears to be able to dribble with either hand and quickly recognized the traps Philly threw at him at passed out of them instead of trying to break them by dribbling.

Let's not build wilks up too much, that kind of karma results in long term contracts.....

I saw Mike Wilks yesterday at the galleria and he looks really short. He is about 5-7 at the most. He weighs about 170-180 though. He was really nice. He was knodding at people that recognized him. He nodded at me too. I met Steve at the galleria also about a month ago. He gave me his autograph. Anyone want to buy it for $500.00. I will sell it to you. Seriously.........

"Wikes has better ball handling skill than Steve."

Omg Sad. Steve has better ball handling skills then most Pgs in NBA. Just all the hating in your mind, clouds your judgement.

    Ownage,

Although I agree that Steve's havndles are betetr than WIlks', I TOTALLY disagree that he's one of the best in the NBA. However, I believe that Steve believes what you believe.

Steve Francis is a great guy. Believe it or not, rockets will be a better team if Steve Nash run it at PG.

Wilks plays at a different tempo and this is CRUCIAL in a backup PG.

Moochie played exactly like Steve, and the defense never had to adjust.

Wilks will make them change the way they play defense, and give JVG options as to which attack is working best.

Earl Boykins does it in Denver, Wilks can do it in Houston.

Given his small size and his constant nodding, is it possible that you just saw a Wilks bobblehead?
