Boo Boo's: No Iverson $7 beer?? WTH $7 for some nasty nacho's that made my stomach hurt $3.59 for a jumbo hotdog that was a regular hot dog I am 5"10 and my legs felt cramped in those seats Rockets play... "ugh", fourth quarter was fun Buying two shirts that were $30 each for both my friends that were girls and a t-shirt for my cousin who called me prior to the game asking for one The good: Punching holes in 50 all-star balloting...for free towel + pin Friend went through 100 ballots to get free t-shirt, towel, pin + poster Clutch - verrrrry amusing Freebies!!! A shirt hit my friend on the head and the person in front got it. Later a shirt flew to the person in front of me...but I had my hands out and it hit my hand and flew on my friends lap!! Overall impression: This was my first game and it was a ok experience. Some fans that sat behind me kept yelling for them to get Yao the ball. One kept yelling Yao Ming solo. I like my bed seat and tv screen better then actually being at the game, but I look forward going to another game in the future.
It sounds like you should have stoped by my place. It could have been alot cheaper for you. Maybe next time. Go Rockets!!
that puzzles me as well I mean as expensive as that arena and its prices are, you would think that the seats could have been spaced out way better than what they are.
YES! It's crazy, if you want a seat in the lower section its over $100 a piece! If you go cheap and get a $20 dollar ticket (which still adds up for people on a budget after food and parking and what not...) the seating is so steep it's scary. And if you are over 6' tall, it's quite uncomfortable. Anyone know of any other ways to get better tickets for better prices?--ebay?, here?,???
Don't add to the myth. State facts and this is just a lie. You can get good seats in the lower bowl a hell of a lot cheaper than that. You can get seats in the lower bowl for as little as 40 bucks and there really is not a bad seat in the lower bowl that I could tell. I sat in 85 dollar seats and the ones next to me were 65 dollar seats and they were every bit as good as mine...BTW my seats were awsome, great view and good leg room.
I dont think there is a bad seat in the Toyota Center (view-wise). But dayum the thing about leg room on the second level is true. I am only 5-10 and my right knee felt like crap after the game was over. I was sitting in the first row of the second level yesterday. I was just afraid to jump and scream everytime something good happened. Thing is way too steep. And yeah the prices for food does suck! I bought a chicken basket for close to seven bucks and its the single most nastiest thing I have ever tasted.
I had to buy them, they were teh cuteness ^^ I bought the $65 dollar seats which came with noise makers! It was fun tooting those noise makers while punching out holes on the ballots until I dropped my noise maker
When I went to the game vs the Kings during the preseason, I was able to sneak down to the lower level next to the King's lockerroom. *Mike Bibby wasn't being friendly * Anyway, the legroom was great. The only problem was that I had to move, so I sat right behind the basket A few weeks later, my friends and I went to the Suns game. Boy! the legroom in the upper level sucks! I'm only like 5 ft and I felt uncomfortable! Wonder how you "tall" feel! The chicken basket is overpriced, but I didn't think it was that bad.
The corner seats in the lower bowl have a great view with no obstruction. When I was there the seats behind the basket just got peppered with freeby t-shirts.
If you have a family, get the family pack. Prices start at $69. It's always mentioned on Channel 51 by Bill & Calvin. A VERY good deal, imo $69 Family 4-Pack ("A $137 value!") (4) regularly-priced $20 tickets (4) hot dog vouchers (4) soft drink vouchers (2) kids T-shirts $89 Family 4-Pack ("A $177 value!") (4) regularly-priced $30 tickets (4) hot dog vouchers (4) soft drink vouchers (2) kids T-shirts $109 Family 4-Pack ("A $217 value!") (4) regularly-priced $40 tickets (4) hot dog vouchers (4) soft drink vouchers (2) kids T-shirts
Since scv_rockets brought it up, it should also be mentioned that Rockets Family Pack games will generally come up every 4 weeks or so. The first two (we just started this program in December) were the 12/29 Seattle game and this Saturday's Utah game. The Family Pack offer for that game has expired, but we're now taking orders for the next Family Pack night, which is 2/6 vs. Chicago. You're also not limited to a 4-Pack -- if your family size is 3 or 5 or 6 or whatever, we can adjust the package size and price to accomodate you. Right now, they have to be bought by calling 713-627-DUNK, but we'll have them available at the box office before too long and we'll eventually have available for on-line purchase as well. Sales for the program have been very strong, by the way. We well more than doubled our sales goals for it. (Time to raise the goals.) Tim
well you should do those every night and the toyota center would be sold out every night. and twice on thursdays
Ive been two 3 games so far. I sit in the lower deck behind the goal for 37 dollars. Pretty fair imo. My experience have been alright so far with toyota. Only gripe is that "the rim" which took about 25 minutes to get my food after I ordered it. Thats pathetic I wouldnt recommend anybody going there. Besides that Toyota is awsome, the skits are hilarious everythings good except the play on the court
I went to the game also. My friend and I sat in the 40 dollar seats to the left of the backboard in the lower section. It wasn't bad at all, actually very good view for $40 seats. The thing that pissed me off the most was the turnovers the rockets made. I remember we were stuck on 27 and 29 for about 6 min. Baby bash and frankie J performed "suga suga" which was very enjoyable. Frankie J sang the national anthem...this dude can SING LIKE CRAZY! His album probably sucks though, cause the 2 songs he performed were horrible. This was my first time going to the toyota center, and I didn't really like it. I felt like they were trying to copy the arena in Dallas, except it looked a lot cheaper. Oh well, at least it's better than the compaq center.
