us fans are okay with failure. we are NOT okay with not trying. quit mixing them together. they're not the same thing. it's apples to oranges. you've been drinking too much at chicas locas. you're right, harden doesn't owe us a ring. he owes us effort for the whole game though. les was rich enough to build a superteam. gsw didn't sweep the cavs last year.
Rather the board be emotionally irrationally critical and show that they care than be absolutely apathetic, ya feel?
Yes, fans can be critical. We should be critical with our time and money when the situation calls for it. I do not think this is that moment. 65 wins, our second conference finals in 20+ years and an imminent MVP award make for a commendable season. Let's see Tillman is able to do in his first full offseason as an owner. The issue is that we're up against a 73-win team that added another perennial MVP candidate via free agency. Barring injury, nobody can beat them in four out of seven games. 28 other teams have the same issue as us, which is that they're expected to compete against Golden State under financial rules that are different from when Kevin Durant signed with the Warriors. If key players start taking pay cuts to keep the Warriors together, the NBA will be faced with an existential problem as fewer people will want to watch year-in, year-out when the outcome is predetermined. I admire the Rockets for trying to compete this year. Nothing that happens during the rest of this season will diminish the effort that everyone in the organization put forward in trying to beat the Warriors. If they somehow win three more games before the Warriors win two, I'll happily eat crow. But, I'm just trying to be a realist. The Warriors have stacked the deck against the rest of the league and it isn't that much fun to watch.
Yes of course we can be critical. You have to be able to separate the two in my opinion. You can be a die hard fan and not agree with how they play or have problems with it. I don't believe in blind homerism of a team.
Anybody who doesn't understand the difference between being critical, and being a knee-jerky troll is probably the latter. It's a very obvious line.....so obvious, in fact, that the same people generally get called out on it over and over again.
mavsprick really hate the rockets best player so Harden didn't even try last game? he was the only 1 trying
It's fine to be critical, but just realize that your criticism and opinions have little to no effect on the Rockets present or future.
No. It’s not allowed on this site anymore. The Harden stans will go insane if you do so. They’re satisfied crying about how “we’re playing a 73 win team that’s the greatest of all time!” Never mind the fact that the warriors have looked beatable for 2 3/4 of the games we’ve played thus far. We’re a 65 win team who is down 1-2 in embarrassing fashion. Simply because we stop putting in proper effort and stop playing our brand of basketball. This has started and ended with James Harden. Year after year in the playoffs. As always. Close your ears and scream all you want. That fact isn’t changing.
There is a difference between critical And BAMming. (b****ing And Moaning) And HyperCritical hating Rocket River If 75% of your posts are 'critical' ....
MFers conceding the game cause the rocketa loss the top off And mad Capela got out jumped Or the first quarter is 30 to 33 But call that being critical Rocket River
The people getting upset about people being critical are usually the ones that incite a downward spiral of arguing. I know personally when I've got the adrenaline going after a loss like that and someone wants to tell me that my opinion is invalid, we probably aren't going to have a nice conversation. Some dude did that after game 1 in the game thread and I was pretty fired up at that point. People need 48 hours to work out their frustrations, and then its on to the next game.
