I am getting interested in wanting to learn how to code cfm, the same that Clutchfans uses. I love the way it handles data.. can anyone point me in the right direction?

I know very little about it, but it's actually Macromedia ColdFusion.

    http://www.macromedia.com/software/coldfusion/

I've tended to steer clear of it, because it's proprietary, and I've never worked at a company that used it.

I learned Cold Fusion 4.0 back in the day - it took me about a week of reading the book and entering examples. I used to love developing in it, but as Bailey said, unless your company uses it...

As far as I know, you are going to need a copy of Cold Fusion Server to learn it - and when I was doing it, that cost about $2000. Good luck.

You love the way it handles data but you have no experience programming in Cold Fusion? Please explain.

I think it is neat how clutch can enter in Clarence Weatherspoon and bam he is already a part of the Rockets history on Clutchfans, i.e. if you look at someone with #35 Spoon is already listed as an "other Rockets who have worn.."

    That is awesome.

If that's what you're looking for, you may want to learn about things like data-driven websites. With the magic of databases and primary keys, you can do something similar in just about any language.

I've never used CF, so I don't know how much easier it would be.

I had to do extensive web page design in CF back in college for a professor (extra credit assignment in a CS class, giving me the additional points for an 'A').

Trust me, it's no picnic. (At least for me it wasn't).

    Listen to DoD.

(Speaking of DoD, here's an interesting sidenote. Well interesting to me, at least. But I digress from my digression. This morning, while working out at the gym, I saw a headline run across the scrolling screen on FOX News that said DoD halts Halliburton's Iraq Deal and the first thing that came to my mind was "Dr of Dunk can do that?" God did I feel like an idiot a split second later when I realized what had just happened.)

    Carry on!

    Listen intently to this.

His power is great, his reach is far, and his legs are more or less cankle-free.
