ClutchFans Game Thread: Warriors @ Rockets 5/16/2018 (Western Conference Finals, Game 2)

The biggest adjustment has been to run more and start dribble penetration earlier in the shot clock. This has opened up the floor for the offense to move more and cut to the paint more, leading to more open shooters. They are literally trying to out-Worrier the Worriers, which the media told me could not be done. Worked for one half anyway.

 

Help me to understand why KD Lang can hip ck the *** out of E-God driving to the basket and no call

Then Ariza does the same to KD Lang and bingo, whistle!

 

Ariza has the length of Tmac or Scottie pippen at his size. He would guard Dirk in his prime.

 

Hopefully Rockets can keep this up. Harden has a huge tendency to revert back to dribbling out the shot clock after playing a beautiful half of basketball.

Keeping expectations low. That was beautiful basketball though.

 

He kinda is. Why did he have to play so poorly to close the quarter? He's supposed to be our MVP, yet he's the only reason we're not up 15+ right now.

 

Ariza/Tucker/EG are a combined 15-19 from the field in the first half, 7-10 from 3PT

 

Too bad Luc can't make layups, his defense is actually still really good.

 

Harden needs to do better on sharing ball.

Stay focused and play tough defense.

 

TNT played that Rockets beautiful ball movement replay at halftime. Chuck and Kenny trying to credit for it like D'Antoni was born yesterday and he needed reminder from TV clowns on what adjustments to make.

 

malloy already authored a similar game @ LAC where harden was bumped nonstop upcourt and then got called for offensive fouls

 

The ball movement make it harder to defend. Role players are much more involved in the offense, thus more likely to hit their shots!
